Description

Deep red roses and white oriental lilies. Two flowers, maximum contrast, no filler. Hand tied and delivered same day by a real local florist. From $126.95 in three sizes. Order before 2pm weekdays or 10am Saturdays for same day delivery.

The vase shown is a display vase and is not included. Your bunch arrives wrapped. The photo shows the Premium size (+$31). Flower proportions vary by size but red roses and white oriental lilies will always be delivered.

What You're Getting

Red and white. Two colours. Two flowers. Nothing else competing for attention. The red roses are deep crimson, fully open with layered heads and visible water droplets on the petals in the photo that tell you they're fresh and hydrated. The white oriental lilies are large trumpet blooms with pale green centres and tight buds still closed alongside the open flowers. The contrast between the two is as strong as colour gets in floristry without clashing. Red against white creates the widest chromatic gap possible while still reading as a single coherent arrangement.

Bo described the delivery as "a beautiful and wrapped bunch of flowers, amazing" and singled out the phone service: "I can't remember the name of the lady whom I spoke to however, she was fantastic." Phil's sister "is delighted with her rose and lily arrangement." Sandra said simply "beautiful flowers." Paula called it "great service, lovely flowers, great pics, easy to order." Dianne's review deserves its own section, which it gets below.

What's In The Bunch

Deep red roses. Five to six large heads in the Standard, more in the larger sizes. These are dark, saturated crimson roses with tightly layered petals. The red is heavy and rich, closer to burgundy than to cherry. They sit low in the arrangement, dense and compact, providing the structural base that the lilies build above.

White oriental lilies. Large trumpet blooms that open wide, revealing pale green centres and orange anthers. Some blooms arrive fully open. Others arrive as tight green buds that crack open over the following week to ten days. Each lily stem typically carries three to five buds at various stages, so the lily count in the arrangement increases daily as new blooms open. Oriental lilies are the fragrant variety. Within hours of a bud opening, the scent fills a room. It's strong, sweet, and unmistakable. If the recipient loves fragrance, this product delivers more of it over a longer period than any single flower type in the range.

Mixed green foliage fills the spaces between the roses and lilies, providing a backdrop that lets the red and white register separately rather than blurring together. The foliage also adds structure and bulk without introducing a third flower type that would dilute the two colour impact.

A Anna Qualified Florist, 15+ Years

"Red and white is the highest contrast combination you can build with natural flower colours. Red roses absorb most of the visible light spectrum and reflect back only the red wavelengths. White lilies reflect almost everything. Placed next to each other, the red looks redder and the white looks whiter. Each flower intensifies the other. That's why this bunch photographs well and why it looks even better in person. The screen can't fully reproduce how deep that red reads when it's sitting against pure white. I've built arrangements in almost every colour combination over fifteen years and this one consistently gets the strongest reaction at the door. Pink and white is pretty. Purple and white is elegant. Red and white stops people mid sentence."

How This Compares

We sell a similar product: Pastel Pink Lilies and Roses at $84.95. Same two flower formula. Same restraint. Completely different emotional register. The pastel version whispers. This one declares. The $42 price difference reflects the stem count at this tier and the premium grade red roses required to hold their own against the bright white lilies. A pale pink rose can be slightly imperfect and the softness of the colour hides it. A deep red rose next to a white lily has nowhere to hide. Every petal edge, every colour gradient from the centre outward, is fully visible against that white backdrop.

For red roses with a third flower type, our Red Ruby Bunch at $124.95 adds green spider chrysanthemums and uses pink oriental lilies instead of white. The Red Ruby gives you more variety. This product gives you more intensity. Two flowers creating one conversation between them, nothing interrupting.

Dianne's Review

Dianne ordered by phone and the experience is worth quoting because it captures something the website can't replicate. She described the staff member as "very professional and caring" and noted that she "was patient developing a card's wording, which turned out beautiful." The card message is part of the gift. For a product like this, where two premium flowers carry the visual weight, the words on the card carry the emotional weight. Dianne's cousin told her "the flowers were just beautiful."

If you need help writing a gift card message, call 1300 360 469. The Armidale team does this daily. They've helped write messages for anniversaries, sympathy, apologies, and everything in between. Or read our card message help guide if you'd prefer to work through it yourself.

Sandra ordered twice and needed a delivery address change on the second order. "The response was immediate." Philomena noted they "responded to minor problem promptly and efficiently." The pattern across the reviews is operational responsiveness. When something needs fixing, it gets fixed fast.

Who Sends This One

This bunch sits 11th in our range. Out of every product we sell, it's in the top dozen. 165 reviews.

A Anna 15+ Years Reading What Sells

"We sell a pastel version of this same two flower concept for $42 less and it sits 19th. This one at $126 sits 11th. People are paying more and buying more often. That tells you something about the clarity of the message. Red roses carry a meaning that everyone already understands. You don't need the card to explain the intent. Pink is lovely but it's ambiguous. It could mean friendship, it could mean romance, it could mean thank you. Red means one thing. Paired with white lilies, the combination reads as serious, considered, and certain. The buyer doesn't have to second guess the signal. I think that confidence is why people are willing to pay more for it. They're not just buying flowers. They're buying certainty that the message will land without needing interpretation. In the shop I used to see it all the time. Someone would pick up a pink bunch, put it back, and reach for the red and white. When I asked why, the answer was almost always the same: 'I want her to know what I mean.'"

Romance and Valentine's Day are the natural fit. But the reviews tell a broader story. Joan called it "very good, easy to navigate, highly recommend to anyone." Gary described the website as "well designed and easy to use." Rod simply noted "easy to use." The ease pattern in these reviews suggests buyers come to this product with their mind already made up. They're not browsing. They know what they want and the buying process just needs to not get in the way.

The oriental lily fragrance makes this a strong choice for wives and partners who appreciate scent as part of the gift. For daughters and friends, the two flower simplicity signals taste rather than budget. For engagements and celebrations, red and white carries a formality that works across cultures and tastes.

Lilies are toxic to cats. If the recipient has cats, this product is not suitable. Our roses range offers red rose options without lilies. For something with a similar premium feel but cat safe, our Australian Natives Bunch at $126.20 delivers bold, structural flowers with no toxicity risk. Browse our bestsellers or orange flowers for something different entirely.

Sizing

Three sizes. Standard at $126.95. Deluxe at $132.95 (+$6) adds a few extra stems. Premium at $157.95 (+$31) is the one in the photo, noticeably fuller with more rose heads and lily stems. Each extra lily stem carries multiple buds, so Premium doesn't just add volume on day one, it extends the blooming window across the following two weeks.

Delivery is $16.95 on all sizes. Vase is not included. The bunch arrives wrapped and the recipient places it in their own vase. For red and white flowers already arranged in a vase, browse our flowers with vases range.

Care

When the bunch arrives, unwrap it, trim all stems at a forty five degree angle with sharp scissors, and strip every leaf below the waterline. Use a vase tall enough to support the lily stems. The lilies grow above the roses and the heavy trumpet blooms need some support from the vase rim or surrounding stems to stay upright as they open.

Room temperature water for the first fill, about two thirds of the vase. Change the water every two to three days. The lily stems will cloud the water faster than the rose stems. If the water looks murky before day two, change it early.

Remove lily anthers with a tissue as each bud opens. The orange pollen stains everything it contacts: fabric, skin, benchtops, tablecloths. Removing the anthers before the pollen starts to shed also extends the life of each bloom because the flower delays its senescence signal when it hasn't been pollinated.

The roses will last seven to twelve days. The lily blooms that are open at delivery will last about a week. The closed buds will keep opening for ten to fourteen days. As the roses fade, remove them. The lilies will carry the vase on their own through the second week with a completely different, all white look. Keep the vase out of direct sunlight and away from the fruit bowl.

Substitution Policy

Red roses are available every day of the year. They're the single most reliably stocked flower in commercial floristry and this product will always contain red roses. White oriental lilies are also widely available year round. The exact variety may shift between Casa Blanca, Siberia, or another white oriental cultivar depending on what the grower sends that week, but the result is always a large white trumpet lily with fragrance. In rare situations where white orientals are genuinely short at market, the florist may use white Asiatic lilies as a substitute. Asiatics are slightly smaller, face upward rather than outward, and carry no fragrance. If fragrance is important, call 1300 360 469 before ordering and we'll confirm availability with the partner florist. Any substitution will be of equal or greater value. The two colour signature of deep red and pure white will always be protected.
