Twelve red roses. The full dozen. Arranged in a dome with silver dollar eucalyptus that cools the red and gives the bunch depth. One repeat buyer said "price locked in when order placed" and confirmed he'll order again. Another sent them for "an important function" and described the delivery as "professional and to a high level of presentation." Donna ordered from the airport before flying out and her family loved the surprise. $128.95 year round, price doesn't change for Valentine's or any peak. Order before 2pm weekdays.

Description

Twelve red roses with silver dollar eucalyptus. The full dozen. Hand tied and delivered same day by a real local florist. $128.95. Order before 2pm weekdays or 10am Saturdays for same day delivery.

The vase shown is a display vase and is not included. Your bunch arrives wrapped. Rose bloom stage and exact shade of red will vary depending on what the florist selects at market that morning. Silver dollar eucalyptus may be substituted with similar foliage.

What You're Getting

Twelve red roses. Not ten with filler to bulk it up. Not eight with lilies and gerberas sharing the spotlight. Twelve stems of the same flower in the same colour, arranged in a dome with silver dollar eucalyptus threading through. The eucalyptus leaves are round, silvery green, and sit at a completely different scale to the rose heads. They cool the red and stop the arrangement from reading as a solid block of one colour. The contrast between the soft grey green foliage and the deep crimson petals is what gives the bunch its depth.

Bob has ordered from us before. He noted "price locked in when order placed" and "have purchased from Lily's before and will again." Matthew described the delivery as "professional and to a high level of presentation. Flowers arrived on time for an important function." When twelve red roses need to arrive on time for something that matters, there's no margin for getting it wrong. Matthew's review confirms the florist understood that.

Greg put it most simply: "The best roses are red."

Dennis's Order

Dennis ordered twelve red roses and on the delivery day, the partner florist had no roses of any colour available. His order couldn't be fulfilled. We refunded him in full, no questions.

Dennis was generous about it: "Over all still happy with the effort to help the customer was outstanding" and "your staff were very helpful in trying to resolve the issues." But he also gave us a fair suggestion: update our hold message to acknowledge that delivery depends on stock availability.

We publish this because it's honest. Red roses are the most reliably stocked flower in Australian floristry. They're available at every major market, every day of the year. But "available at market" and "available in this specific florist's shop at this specific moment" are two different things. Occasionally a florist runs through their stock on a busy day, or a supply issue at the grower end flows through to the shop. When that happens, we refund. No arguments, no substitution forced onto you. Dennis got his money back the same day and we take the hit.

If timing is absolutely critical, call 1300 360 469 before ordering. The team can check stock with the specific partner florist in the recipient's area before you commit.

A Anna Qualified Florist, 15+ Years

"Twelve roses is the number that changed floristry commercially. Not six, not twenty four, twelve. The reason is spatial. Twelve standard grade long stem roses arranged in a dome creates a shape that fills a vase from every angle without gaps. Eleven leaves a visible hole somewhere. Thirteen starts crowding the centre. The florist doesn't have to force the stems into position at twelve because twelve is the natural geometry. It's also the number where the collective red becomes overwhelming in the best way. Six roses and you're counting individual stems. At twelve the stems disappear into a mass of colour that reads as a single red object rather than twelve separate flowers. That perceptual shift is the entire point. The buyer isn't giving twelve things. They're giving one thing that happens to be made of twelve."

Where This Sits In The Range

We sell 6 Red Roses at $85.95. We sell this, twelve, at $128.95. And we sell 24 Red Roses further up. The maths is straightforward. Double the roses from six to twelve costs roughly 50% more, not double, because the foliage, wrapping, card, and delivery fee stay the same. The per rose cost drops as the count goes up.

This product sits 33rd in sales over the past twelve months. 34 reviews. That might seem low for the most famous flower arrangement in the world.

A Anna 15+ Years at Market and on the Bench

"A dozen red roses sells in concentrated bursts. Valentine's week it could be our first or second most ordered product. The week after Valentine's it drops off a cliff. Then it reappears around anniversaries, proposals, and make up gestures. The rest of the year it ticks along quietly. That spike and dip pattern is why it sits where it does across twelve months. Products with steady year round demand accumulate more total sales even if they never have a single massive week. The dozen red roses has maybe four or five huge weeks a year and forty seven quiet ones. Our Florist's Choice or our Australian Natives, those sell every single week at roughly the same rate because they suit every occasion. The dozen sits 33rd because it dominates specific moments but disappears between them. It's the most seasonal product in the range that isn't actually seasonal. The flower is available year round. The occasion isn't."

Donna's Story

Donna ordered these roses the day before she flew out. "I had them delivered. Thank you so much!" she wrote. "My family loved the roses and it was a nice surprise for them after I flew out the day before." The flowers arrived after she left. She wasn't there to see the reaction. But her family told her, and that was enough.

That's a pattern we see across years of orders. The buyer doesn't witness the delivery. They order from an airport gate, from an interstate office, from overseas. They trust us and the local florist to represent them when they can't be there. Donna's review confirms the system worked. Alexandra ordered from a distance too, for her daughter's birthday, and noted "the flowers were fresh and beautiful. Thank you for making her day special."

Who Sends Twelve Red Roses

Valentine's Day is the peak. The dozen red roses is the cultural default for February 14th. It always has been and probably always will be. If you're ordering for Valentine's, order early. Red rose supply tightens nationally in the days leading up and prices at market climb. Our price stays at $128.95 year round.

Anniversaries drive consistent orders throughout the year. Romantic gestures and apologies fill in between. Matthew ordered for "an important function" which could mean anything from a formal dinner to a milestone celebration, and the dozen red roses carries enough weight for any of those.

Alexandra added a teddy bear to her daughter's birthday delivery. You can add extras at checkout: chocolates, teddy bears, balloons. The roses carry the main message and the add ons personalise it. Browse our bestselling birthday flowers or birthday flowers for daughters for more options with extras.

For red roses mixed with other flowers, our Lily and Rose Bunch at $126.95 pairs red roses with white oriental lilies for fragrance and contrast. Our Red Ruby Bunch at $124.95 adds pink lilies and green spider chrysanthemums. For red roses in a smaller commitment, the 6 Red Roses at $85.95 delivers the same symbolism with half the stems. Care

When the bunch arrives, unwrap it, trim all twelve stems at a forty five degree angle with sharp scissors, and strip every leaf below the waterline. If an outer petal on any rose looks bruised or slightly brown, peel it off. There are layers underneath. A well conditioned red rose has enough petals that removing the guard layer reveals a fresher, tighter bloom beneath.

Use a vase tall enough that the stems are supported but the heads sit above the rim in a natural dome. Too wide a vase and the roses fall outward into a flat spread. The cylinder shape in the product photo works well because it holds the stems upright and lets the dome shape form naturally.

Room temperature water, about two thirds full. Change it every two to three days. Red roses last seven to fourteen days depending on room temperature, light exposure, and how diligent you are about water changes. Keep the vase away from the fruit bowl. Ripening fruit emits ethylene gas and roses are sensitive to it. A cool spot with indirect light gives the longest display.

The silver dollar eucalyptus will outlast the roses. When the roses start dropping petals, the eucalyptus on its own in the vase has a clean, simple look and a menthol scent that lingers in the room. Some people dry it and keep it for weeks.

Delivery

Your bunch is hand tied and delivered by a real local florist from our network of 800+ across Australia. We've been building this network since 2009, starting with a single partner florist in Murwillumbah and growing to a family of over 800 shops. Made fresh on the day from market stock. Not posted. Not shipped from a warehouse.

Delivery is $16.95 Australia wide. That fee is subsidised. The actual delivery cost is often higher, but we keep it flat.

Same day delivery if you order before 2pm on weekdays or 10am on Saturdays. Heather confirmed "the flowers were loved by the recipient." Ian described the site as "great and easy to use." Donna ordered the day before flying out and the flowers landed after she left, exactly as planned.

No Sunday deliveries. Flower markets close Saturday afternoon.

Substitution Policy

Twelve red roses will always be twelve red roses. This is one of the few products where we can say that with near certainty. Red roses are grown year round, stocked at every major Australian flower market, and available from multiple growers on any given day. The shade of red may vary from bright crimson to a deeper burgundy depending on the variety at market, but the flower type and colour family will always be red roses. The silver dollar eucalyptus may occasionally be swapped for a similar rounded leaf foliage if the specific variety isn't available, but the silvery green tone and the visual role in the arrangement stays the same. In the rare event that red roses genuinely aren't available in a specific location on a specific day, as happened with Dennis's order, we refund in full rather than substitute with a different colour or flower. Call 1300 360 469 if you want to confirm availability before ordering.

Reviews

Pay close attention. Flowers were nice but photo showed flowers in a vase and they were delivered just as a bunch without a vase. To be fair the fine print did state no vase but to show them in one in the advertising is a bit misleading. Order ref: 598809
EXCELLENT. I phoned up and was greeted with a warm welcome by a lady who was very helpful. I looked on their website first, to know what I wanted, then phoned them up, very helpful. The Beautiful Roses were received by my stunning love, she was very happy. Thank you Lily’s Florist. Order ref: 596441
Over all still happy with the effort to help the customer was outstanding. Only one short fall I recently ordered 12 red roses placed and paid for order, only to find out on the day of delivery that no one had any roses of any colour unfortunately. Up side to this, there was no problem at all being refunded in full. Might I say your staff were very helpful in trying to resolve the issues; your phone hold message to customers needs to change to "we can deliver to certain areas if your order is placed before 2:00pm and provided we have your particular flower in stock." Order ref: 592919
The best roses are red. Great setup, easy to navigate through. Good selection of flowers. Thank you, Lily’s Florist! Order ref: 576725
