Pink roses, pink Asiatic lilies, and green trick dianthus. The trick dianthus is the flower most people will ask about: bright green pompoms that look like nothing else in the range. Anna says they cost three to four times more per stem than standard filler at market, and they last three weeks in a vase when the roses are finished in ten days. The price reflects the quality of the components, not the quantity. A florist's arrangement built for people who trust the florist's judgment. No lily fragrance, cat safe. From $99.95 in three sizes, hand tied and delivered same day by a partner florist. $16.95 delivery. Order before 2pm weekdays.

Description

Pink roses, pink Asiatic lilies, and green trick dianthus, hand tied and delivered by a partner florist on the day. From $99.95 with same day delivery if you order before 2pm weekdays or 10am Saturdays. No fragrance from the lilies. Vase not included.

The photo shows the Premium size (+$31). Your bunch will follow the same pink and green colour palette. The Asiatic lilies may arrive with some buds still closed, which will open over the following days. The vase shown is for display purposes and is not included.

What's In The Bunch

Three elements, each doing something completely different. Pink roses, four or five medium blooms in soft pink, sitting at different heights across the arrangement. Pink Asiatic lilies, three or four open blooms in a warmer peach pink with broad flat petals facing upward, plus tight green buds that will open over the coming days. And the green trick dianthus. Round, textured, almost fuzzy green balls clustered in a dense border around the entire arrangement, framing the pink flowers in vivid green.

The trick dianthus is the flower most people will ask about. They look like bright green pompoms. Not foliage. Not filler. Actual flowers, a cultivated variety of dianthus bred for that spherical shape and intense green colour. If you've never seen trick dianthus before, you're not alone. They're a florist's speciality stem that rarely appears in standard bunches because they cost more than traditional fillers and most customers don't know to ask for them.

Anthony described his delivery as "flowers fresh and better than expected. Will call again. Highly recommend." That "better than expected" on a product with trick dianthus makes sense. The green balls don't photograph the way they look in person. On screen they read as green texture. In your hand they read as a completely unexpected element that elevates the entire arrangement.

Premium Price, Premium Build

This bunch starts at $99.95, which makes it one of the higher entry points in the range. Anna has over fifteen years of floristry experience, from selecting stems before dawn to understanding why certain products find their audience slowly.

A Anna Qualified Florist, 15+ Years

"This product has two barriers working against it at the same time. Price and familiarity. At $99.95 for Standard, most customers have already filtered it out before they've looked at the photo. The ones who are willing to spend that much usually want something they recognise as premium, which means lots of roses, or oriental lilies with that big fragrance, or a large mixed arrangement with visible volume. This bunch doesn't do any of those things. It uses an unfamiliar flower as the structural element, the lilies have no scent, and the overall size looks compact rather than overflowing. What the customer can't see from the page is that trick dianthus costs three to four times more per stem than a standard filler flower at market. Or that the Asiatic lilies, because they face upward, create a completely different visual line from the outward facing orientals people expect. The price reflects the quality of the components, not the quantity. It's a florist's arrangement built for people who trust the florist's judgment."

Sizing

Three sizes. Standard at $99.95. Deluxe adds extra stems for $6 more. Premium at +$31 is the one in the photo, fuller across all three flower types with a denser ring of trick dianthus.

No Extra Large option. Premium is the fullest version available.

Gerard said Lily's Florist "made a special day even more special." Eliane said "the flowers were beautiful. The ordering was easy. I can not fault the service." When you're spending $99.95 or more, the expectation is high and these reviews confirm the product meets it.

Vase is not included. We sell flowers with vases separately. For this arrangement a clear glass shows the stems and lets the green trick dianthus dominate the colour story from top to waterline. A matte white or pale grey vase works too. Avoid green vases that would compete with the dianthus.

Who Sends This One

Stan sent it on Christmas Eve and the "flowers delivered on time." Christmas Eve same day delivery is high pressure for any florist. The 10am Saturday cutoff applies, which means Stan ordered early enough and the partner florist delivered under holiday conditions. For Christmas gifts, the green and pink palette feels festive without the standard red and white holiday cliché.

Birthday for a wife or birthday for mum suits this bunch because the trick dianthus signals that someone put thought into the choice rather than grabbing the first pink option. For Mother's Day, the green adds freshness that separates it from every other pink arrangement arriving that Sunday. Anniversaries work when you want pink without the roses only approach.

The Asiatic lilies have no fragrance, which opens up hospital delivery without scent restrictions. No oriental lilies means no toxicity risk for homes with cats either. For get well and new baby gifts, the cheerful colours and zero fragrance make it one of the safer premium options in the range.

Glenda Sablyak "loved the flowers, prompt delivery." John said "great site, works well." The reviews are consistently positive across two years, which for a higher priced product tells you the spend lands well.

For a less expensive pink and lily combination, our Pastel Pink Lilies and Roses at $84.95 uses blush roses with white oriental lilies. For pink without lilies, the Roses and Carnations at $84.95 delivers monochromatic pink with three flower types. Browse our full pink flowers range, lilies range, or all bunches for more.

The Trick Dianthus

A Anna Qualified Florist, 15+ Years

"Trick dianthus is a cultivar of the same family that gives us carnations and sweet william. But it's been bred to do something none of its relatives do. The petals fold inward and layer on top of each other so tightly that the bloom becomes a solid ball. No centre visible, no petal tips pointing outward, just a dense green sphere. In an arrangement they function like green full stops. They ground the eye between the taller roses and lilies and prevent the pink from running away with the whole design. They also last an absurd amount of time. I've had trick dianthus hold for three weeks in a vase without losing colour or shape. Three weeks. Most roses are finished in ten days. These green balls will still be going when you've forgotten the arrangement was there. Florists love working with them because they solve the structural problem of the lower third of an arrangement where stems and foliage usually dominate. Trick dianthus gives you actual blooms at that level."

The pink Asiatic lilies carry the peach warmth that separates this bunch from the cooler pinks in the range. Asiatic lilies face upward rather than outward, which changes the visual line of the arrangement. Where oriental lilies create a wide, lush look, Asiatics create height and structure. Combined with the rounded trick dianthus at the base and the roses at middle height, you get three distinct layers, each a different shape, working vertically through the arrangement.

Care

When the bunch arrives, unwrap it, trim all stems at a forty five degree angle with sharp scissors, and strip every leaf below the waterline. Room temperature water for the first fill, about two thirds of the vase. Change it every two to three days.

The three flower types will fade at very different rates and that's actually an advantage. The roses go first, seven to twelve days. The Asiatic lilies hold for a similar period, with buds continuing to open through the week. The trick dianthus will still look fresh at two to three weeks. As the roses and lilies finish, pull them out. The remaining trick dianthus on their own in a vase is a green sculptural display that holds for another week or more. Nobody expects the last flowers standing to be the green ones.

Remove the Asiatic lily anthers from each bloom as it opens. The pollen is yellow and stains. On pink rose petals the stain is visible and hard to remove.

Keep the vase out of direct afternoon sun. The pink in both the roses and the Asiatic lilies fades faster under UV light than darker varieties. A bright room with indirect light preserves the colour longest.

Delivery

Your bunch is hand tied and delivered by a real partner florist from our network of 800+ across Australia. We've coordinated deliveries through this network since 2009. Made fresh on the day from market stock and hand delivered to the door.

Delivery is $16.95 Australia wide. That fee is subsidised. The actual cost of getting a florist to hand deliver to a specific address is often higher, but we absorb the difference.

Same day delivery if you order before 2pm on weekdays or 10am on Saturdays. Stan proved it works even on Christmas Eve. No Sunday deliveries. Flower markets close Saturday afternoon.

Need to change something after ordering? Email [email protected], call us on 1300 360 469 (Mon to Fri, 7am to 6pm, Sat 7am to 12pm), or use live chat. If something isn't right with the delivery, get in touch within 24 hours with a photo and we'll sort it out.

Substitution Policy

Pink roses are available year round. Pink Asiatic lilies are reliably sourced but the exact shade ranges from soft blush to a warmer peach depending on the variety at market. The trick dianthus is the specialist element. It's stocked by most wholesalers but it's not a flower every florist reaches for unless the order specifically calls for it. If green trick dianthus isn't available, the florist may substitute with green chrysanthemums or green hypericum berries to preserve the green border effect. The structural role of the green element, framing the pink flowers, will always be maintained. Any substitution will be of equal or greater value. If trick dianthus is important to you, call us on 1300 360 469 and we'll confirm availability with the florist before the order goes out.

Loved the flowers, prompt delivery. Excellent, easy to use. Order ref: 450948
Easy to use, disappointing bouquet. They made it easy to order flowers from the US to my friend in Australia. My only complaint is that I paid $100 for a very simple bouquet of flowers. I saw a picture of them once they had been delivered and felt disappointed. I would have given 5 stars if the bouquet had been a little more impressive. Order ref: 449341
Beautiful flowers, same day delivery was impressive. Order ref: 431714
5 star service and extremely pleased with the efficiency. Definitely recommend the entire experience. Order ref: 423971
Follow up service needed. I received no confirmation of the order being received. A photo of the flowers delivered or arranged would be great. I sent these to my grandmother in an Aged Care Home and no confirmation of delivery was given. Order ref: 407563
