What You're Getting
One long stem red rose, foliage, paper wrapping, a soft teddy bear, and a personalised gift card. All hand delivered together by a partner florist on the day.
The rose will last seven to ten days with proper care. The teddy stays. It ends up on a bed, a shelf, a desk. Months from now when the rose is long gone the bear is still sitting there, and every time the recipient sees it they remember the day it arrived. That's what the combination does. The flower is the moment, the teddy is the memory of it.

The Rose
Single stem, long, red. Same rose as our single wrapped red rose at $42.95. The partner florist selects from their market stock on the day, and with a single stem product the selection pressure is high because there's nothing else in the wrap to carry a weak bloom.

"There's a real difference between field grown and forced. Roses grown in actual sunlight, with natural temperature swings, develop stronger cell walls. They're tougher. The stems are firmer, the colour is deeper, and they hold up longer after cutting. Greenhouse roses get pushed to bloom fast and they're often weaker for it. You can feel it in the stem. When a florist picks up a field grown rose at the market, they know. It just feels different in the hand."
That's the kind of detail you don't see on the product page but it affects what arrives at the door. The florist is choosing between stems at the market and the quality of that choice shows up in how the rose looks on day one and how it holds on day five.

Valentine's Day, anniversaries, and those moments where you want the gesture to feel personal rather than extravagant. The teddy bear requires zero maintenance. The rose needs a few minutes of attention when it arrives.

"Cut the stem at an angle before it goes in the vase. About forty five degrees. A flat cut lets the stem seal against the vase bottom and blocks water uptake completely. The angled cut keeps the plumbing open. If you can, cut it under running water or with the base submerged. When a stem is cut in open air, it sucks in a tiny air bubble that blocks the water conducting tubes. Cutting underwater prevents that. It's a ten second job that adds days to the vase life."
Strip any leaves that would sit below the waterline. A small vase or a tall glass works well for a single stem. Room temperature water, about two thirds full. Keep it out of direct afternoon sun because red roses fade faster than any other colour under UV. Change the water every two to three days and you should get seven to ten days from the bloom.

Delivery
Your rose and teddy bear are hand delivered together by a real partner florist from our network of 800+ across Australia. We've been running this network since 2009. Not posted, not shipped from a warehouse. The florist wraps the rose fresh, packages the teddy alongside it, and delivers to the door on the day.
Delivery is $16.95 Australia wide. That fee is subsidised. The actual cost of getting a florist to hand deliver to a specific address is often higher, but we absorb the difference.
Same day delivery if you order before 2pm on weekdays or 10am on Saturdays. Those cutoffs exist because the florist needs time to source the rose, prepare the wrap, and route the delivery while the flower is still at its freshest.
No Sunday deliveries. Flower markets close Saturday afternoon. Any florist delivering on a Sunday is working with Friday stock that's already lost roughly 30% of its vase life. We'd rather be upfront about that.
