Same Day Delivery - Bexley Wide
My name is Siobhan, I own Lily's Florist with my partner Andrew, and Bexley has a funny place in our story. Not because we lived there, but because Andrew grew up in Sydney and the name Bexley comes up every time he tells the golf story. You know the one. The story that gets retold at dinner parties, at barbecues, basically any time Dave's name comes up.
Andrew used to play golf regularly at Bexley Golf Course back in the early 90s. The course is technically in Kingsgrove, but everyone calls it Bexley. His mate Dave who lived in Earlwood, who Andrew still calls "the tinnie guy" because of his old aluminium boat obsession and ferry wave jumping abilities in Sydney Harbour back in the day, was his regular partner. One Saturday morning in 1992, they teed off on the first hole. It's a 313m par 4, trees lining both sides, and backing onto the tree line is a row of homes. Fences right there. Dave, being conservative, pulls out a 5 iron, hoping to find the fairway. Instead, he catches it wrong. A massive fade. Actually no, a full shank. The ball rockets towards the houses, hits the fence of the first property, and bounces backwards about 50 metres. It landed on the ladies tee. Not far from where he hit it. Andrew says it took him a full five minutes to compose himself. Half laughing, half crying, he could barely breathe. Luckily nobody was playing behind them.
I wasn't there, obviously, but I've heard this story at least 10 times, the kids too. The detail never changes. The 5 iron. The fence. The ladies tee. It's burned into Andrew's memory, and by extension, mine. So when we built out our Sydney delivery locations over the years and Bexley came up, the golf course was the first thing Andrew mentioned.

* That's us. Andrew, myself (Siobhan), and our daughters Asha and Ivy. Most business decisions still happen at the dinner table or on the drive to netball.
We monitor all our delivery suburbs pretty closely and Bexley sits at less than 0.03% of our total Sydney flower orders. That's tiny. Some businesses might not bother creating a dedicated page for a suburb with that kind of volume. We see it differently. Every person who orders flowers to Bexley, or from Bexley, has chosen us over whoever else showed up in their search. That trust means something. We treat every Bexley order the same way we treat a Valentine's Day rush in Melbourne or a sympathy delivery in Brisbane. Our Australian call centre team, based in Armidale NSW, handles every enquiry personally. We're contactable six days a week by phone, email, or live chat. That matters when things don't go to plan, and in flowers, sometimes they don't.
Looking at the data, the most ordered product to Bexley addresses is our Rose and Carnation Arrangement. It's a compact arrangement in a box, soft pinks throughout, with roses, carnations, and gerberas. I asked Anna, our qualified florist who has been with us for over 15 years, why she thinks it does so well.
"Pink sells in the inner suburbs," Anna said. "It reads as feminine without being over the top. The roses give it structure, the carnations fill the body, and the gerberas add that cheerful pop. For Bexley deliveries, it's the kind of arrangement that looks great on a kitchen bench or an office desk. It doesn't need a vase because it comes in the box. People receiving flowers at work appreciate that. They can just display it without fussing around looking for something to put it in."
Anna also mentioned that the arrangement travels well, which matters when you're delivering to streets like Forest Road where houses sit back from the footpath, or the residential areas near Bardwell Valley where driveways can be steep and narrow. The compact box design means it doesn't shift during delivery, even when our courier drivers are navigating the tighter streets off Stoney Creek Road. The roses are selected for stem strength, which helps them hold up in transit. "You don't want droopy roses arriving at someone's door," Anna said. "That's the worst. Especially if it's a surprise. The recipient deserves better."
If you're sending to Bexley and you're not sure what to choose, the Rose and Carnation Arrangement is a safe pick with a high track record of happy recipients. Works for birthdays, thank yous, or just because. Order before 2pm for same day delivery to any address in Bexley, whether it's near the station, down near Bardwell Park, or in the residential pockets closer to Rockdale.
When you order flowers to Bexley through Lily's Florist, your order goes to one of our partner florists in the Sydney network. These are real florist shops with trained florists, not a warehouse with a production line. Your flowers are made fresh, that day, by someone who knows what they're doing. Then a local courier delivers them, usually same day if you get your order in before 2pm on weekdays or 10am on Saturdays.

* This is how it works. You order, we connect your order with a local partner florist, they make and deliver your flowers. No post. No boxes.
We started building our Sydney florist network back around 2009 and 2010. Andrew's Sydney roots helped with that early on because he knew the city, knew the suburbs, and could have real conversations with florists about delivery zones. Bexley, Rockdale, Kogarah, Hurstville, all those St George area suburbs were part of the early expansion. Today we work with over 800 partner florists across Australia, but the model hasn't changed. We send them the order, they make the flowers, they deliver.
If the recipient isn't home, our courier will leave the flowers in a safe spot out of direct sunlight and view from the street. If that's not possible, they'll call the recipient to arrange an alternative. We always try to get flowers delivered, not returned.
We partnered with Feefo in 2019 because we wanted honest feedback. Feefo only collects reviews from verified customers who have actually ordered. We can't fake it, we can't delete negative ones, and we can't get friends to write nice things about us. Every month Feefo randomly selects up to 300 of our customers to invite to leave a review.

* Our 2025 Feefo Trusted Service Award. Back to back years now. Over 3,000 verified customer reviews got us here.
In 2024 and again in 2025, we earned the Feefo Trusted Service Award. To qualify, a business needs at least 50 reviews in a 12 month period with an average rating of 4 stars or higher. We received over 3,000 reviews in that period, with over 2,400 being 4 or 5 stars. That's more than 60 times the minimum required to qualify.
Flowers are subjective. One person can see an arrangement and think it's gorgeous, another might think it's too small. Putting ourselves out there with an independent review platform was a risk. But the feedback helps us improve. When something goes wrong, we hear about it, and we can make it right.
For the full story of how we went from a tiny florist shop in Kingscliff to an Australia wide delivery network, visit our About Us page. The short version is that we bought a florist and gift shop in 2006, discovered we were getting 40 plus calls a day for flowers because of a Yellow Pages ad the previous owner had taken out, and eventually pivoted to building a national partner florist network.

* This is the shop we bought in 2006 on Marine Parade in Kingscliff. The yellow signage, the Kodak kiosk out front, the card spinner. It's a surf shop now.
We moved fully online in 2010, built a home office in our garage in Pottsville NSW, hired real florists like Anna and Will to give us credibility, and grew from there.
We're still a Mum and Dad operation. Business decisions get made at the dinner table, or while driving the kids to netball. Asha is about to turn 19 and Ivy is 15. We've lived in Kingscliff for 18 years now, though we'll always have a soft spot for Sydney. Andrew's golf stories alone keep those memories alive.
