Flower Delivery Eastlakes: Same Day

Order flowers to Eastlakes before 2pm for same day delivery. $16.95, real local florists, family run since 2009. I'm Siobhan, Andrew is my partner, and we've built Lily's Florist from a struggling Kingscliff shop into a network of over 800 florists across Australia. Eastlakes holds a quirky place in our history. Not because we had a shop there. Because Andrew's uncle Keith used to drag him around Eastlakes Golf Club as a teenager, quietly teaching him that showing up matters more than being good. There's a story about a bunker and a near miss further down this page. Plus why Anna, our 15 year florist veteran, reckons the Bright Arrangement sells so well here.

Same day flower delivery to Eastlakes when you order before 2pm weekdays or 10am Saturdays. $16.95 delivery, real local florists, Australian family owned since 2009. My name is Siobhan, I run Lily's Florist with my partner Andrew, and Eastlakes holds a quirky place in our story. Not because we ever had a shop there, but because Andrew spent half his teenage years chasing golf balls around Eastlakes Golf Club with his uncle Keith. He reckons the course shaped his competitive streak. I reckon it just gave him an excuse to avoid mowing the lawn on weekends. Scroll down to find out why our Bright Arrangement with Chocolates flies out the door to this part of Sydney.

How Lily's Florist Evolved

I've told this story a few different ways on different pages across our website, and each time I write it I remember something new. The full version lives on our About Us page if you want every twist and turn, but here's the gist for Eastlakes locals in a hurry.

Andrew and I bought a struggling florist and gift shop in Kingscliff, Northern NSW, in 2006. We had no idea what we were doing. Zero floristry experience, a baby on the way, and an accountant who looked us dead in the eye and said "don't buy it." We bought it anyway. The plan was to scale back the flowers and push organic skincare, baby products, that sort of thing. Gifts were meant to be our future.

The original lime green Lily's Florist shop in Kingscliff NSW established 2006.

* The shop where it all started. Our accountant told us not to buy it: 20 years later, that decision brings fresh flowers to Eastlakes.

Then the phone started ringing. Like, constantly. Forty plus calls a day for flower deliveries to places we'd never heard of. Turns out the previous owner had paid for a Yellow Pages ad right before selling, and suddenly people from Taree to Townsville were asking us to send flowers on their behalf. For months we said sorry, we can't help. Until one freezing June afternoon, staring at a till with maybe twenty dollars in it, we thought hang on. What if we could help?

We drove out to a florist in Murwillumbah with our baby daughter Asha in the car seat. I was rehearsing what to say the whole way. Would she laugh us out the door? Was this even a thing? Asha broke a trinket on one of the shelves within thirty seconds of us walking in, which was an icebreaker if ever there was one. The florist smiled and said yes, she'd love to work with us. No fees, just a few extra stems in each bouquet to cover a small commission. That single handshake became the foundation of everything.

By 2009 we'd sold the shop, gone fully online, and built Lily's Florist into a network that now includes over 800 partner florists across Australia. Real shops, real florists, real local couriers. Not warehouses, not production lines, not Australia Post overnight. Asha is about to turn 19 and graduate Year 12. Our younger daughter Ivy turns 15 in February. Business decisions still get made at the dinner table, usually while someone is complaining about netball training times.

What Makes Us Different

Our partner florists don't pay us membership fees. Never have, never will. We think charging florists to be part of a network creates the wrong incentive. Instead, they add a few extra flowers to each order to cover our commission, which means you end up with better value in the box. Most of our partners have been with us for over a decade. Some, like our original Murwillumbah florist, have been there since before we even called ourselves Lily's Florist.

* We still think like a local florist. No boxes or warehouses, just fresh stems delivered by our partners in the Eastlakes area.

We answer phones six days a week from our call centre in Armidale, NSW. All Australian staff, all trained by us over years of trial and error. You can reach us on 1300 360 469 Monday to Friday 7am to 6pm, Saturdays 7am to 12pm. We also have live chat if you're ordering from work and can't take a call. The most common question on live chat, after years of data, is "do you deliver here?" The answer is almost always yes.

In 2024 and again in 2025, Feefo awarded us a Trusted Service Award based on over 23,000 verified customer reviews since 2013. Feefo only collects reviews from people who have actually purchased, which is rare in the review world. We can't edit them, delete them, or get our mates to write nice things. Putting ourselves out there like that was terrifying when we signed up, honestly. Flowers are subjective. Two people can look at the same bouquet and see completely different things. But the feedback helps us improve, and it helps you decide if we're worth trusting with something as personal as sending flowers.

Feefo Trusted Service Award 2024 and 2025 Lily's Florist 4.3 star average.

* Verified trust. Our 4.3 star rating comes from 23,000 plus customers who reviewed us since 2013. We are proud to be two time Feefo Trusted Service Award winners.

Why Anna Recommends the Bright Arrangement With Chocolates for Eastlakes

Anna has worked with us for over 15 years. She's a qualified florist who decided she wanted off the shop floor but couldn't quite leave flowers behind. These days she handles our books and keeps us all honest, but she still knows more about stems, longevity, and seasonal availability than Andrew and I ever will.

I asked her recently why the Bright Arrangement with Chocolates tends to be our most ordered product to Eastlakes, and she had some thoughts.

"Eastlakes is interesting because you've got a mix of older established residents and younger families who've moved in more recently," Anna said. "The Bright Arrangement works for both. It's not too formal, not too casual. The colour palette, the hot pinks and yellows and purples, reads as cheerful without being childish. And the chocolates take the pressure off if someone's not sure what to write on the card. The gift speaks for itself."

She also pointed out that the arrangement comes in a box rather than a vase, which matters for apartment deliveries. "A lot of Eastlakes is units and townhouses. If the recipient isn't home, we can leave the box in a safe spot without worrying about water spilling everywhere. The flowers stay hydrated in floral foam for a good 24 hours before they even need attention."

I asked her about the flower selection itself.

"Roses are the anchor, usually three or four stems depending on head size that day. Then you've got your filler flowers for texture, things like statice or solidago, and your feature stems which change seasonally but tend toward gerberas or asiatic lilies when available. The florist making it has discretion to swap based on what's freshest in their coolroom that morning. That's the advantage of working with real shops instead of warehouses. They're not pulling from a week-old batch that arrived on a truck from Melbourne."

At $99.85 with same day delivery for $16.95, it sits in a sweet spot for birthdays, thank yous, and just-because moments. The 375 reviews averaging 4.5 stars suggest we're not the only ones who think so.

Real Eastlakes Insight vs. Database Scripts

I saw a competitor recently claiming that 'Isabel' is the most popular recipient name in Eastlakes. No idea what database they pulled that from. When I mentioned it to Anna, our florist with 15 years of experience, she just laughed.

Anna does not care about name stats. She cares about how your gift looks three days after it arrives. Her advice for Eastlakes? If you are sending to one of the unit blocks near the shopping centre, skip the delicate lilies and go for our Native Arrangement.

Eastlakes sits in a humid coastal pocket near the golf course. Natives handle that Sydney humidity much better than hothouse roses, especially in apartments where the airflow is not always great. A computer can tell you the most common name in a postcode. It cannot tell you that banksias will outlast lilies in a stuffy third floor unit with one window.

About Our Family

I mentioned Asha and Ivy earlier. They've grown up with this business in ways that probably aren't normal. Asha was crawling on the floor of our Kingscliff shop before she could walk, usually covered in sweat because we couldn't afford air conditioning. Ivy was born during Valentine's week 2011, quite literally almost arrived in our garage-turned-office while every phone in the building was ringing off the hook. I was 8.5 months pregnant, sitting at a desk, fielding calls alongside two friends we'd drafted in to help who had no idea what they were walking into. One of them looked at us at the end of that week and said "what have you created?"

Lily's Florist owners Andrew and Siobhan with daughters Asha and Ivy.

* A real family business. Andrew, Siobhan, Asha, and Ivy. We have been running Lily's from our table since Andrew's teenage golf days at Eastlakes.

Andrew handles the marketing and internet side of things. I manage operations and customer service. We make decisions together, usually at dinner, sometimes in the car on the way to netball at Mudgeeraba or basketball at Carrara. We don't have a boardroom or a marketing team or a legal department. Just the two of us, the kids, and a team in Armidale who've become family over the years.

Andrew's Eastlakes Connection

Andrew grew up in Sydney, and his side of the family was obsessed with golf. His dad Ken was a scratch golfer from age 15 right through to his early 60s, the kind of consistency that made Andrew both proud and slightly annoyed, since he never got close to that level himself. Andrew's uncle Keith ran a golf club management company and would often take him out to courses around Sydney when he was a teenager.

Eastlakes Golf Club was one of the regular spots. Andrew preferred it to The Australian Golf Club, which Keith also managed, because Eastlakes felt more laid back. Less pressure. Less likely to cop a look from a member if your swing wasn't quite right. He tells this story about almost driving a buggy into a bunker on the 4th hole, slamming the brakes just in time, and Keith saying nothing for a full thirty seconds before quietly suggesting they walk the rest of the way.

"Eastlakes taught me that you don't have to be perfect to enjoy something," Andrew said when I asked him about it for this page. "You just have to show up and give it a crack. Which is basically how we approached starting a flower business with zero experience."

Neither of us plays golf anymore. Too busy, too tired, too many netball games to get to. But when an order comes through for Eastlakes, Andrew still thinks about those afternoons with Keith. The smell of the fairways after rain. The particular shade of green that Sydney golf courses get in late autumn. He reckons some part of him is still out there, trying not to end up in that bunker.

What Customers Are Saying

These are recent verified reviews from Feefo, collected independently from customers who have ordered through Lily's Florist. We can't edit or delete them.

Lee, WA (14 days ago): "I reside in WA sending flowers to my daughter living in Taringa QLD. Your online service is easy to use for me. Delivery has always arrived as promised. My daughter has loved her fresh flowers."

Carol A, Australia (14 days ago): "Website was easy to navigate and ordering online was not complex. What I did particularly like was that a beautiful handwritten card with my message to the recipient was delivered, opposed to a printed card."

Trusted Customer (15 days ago): "I called from the USA to have flowers delivered to my elderly sister in a Tasmanian nursing facility. I actually called on your busiest day, Christmas Eve in Australia, and the lady who helped take my order went above and beyond."

Trusted Customer (15 days ago): "That was a little tricky but we gathered over the phone and they went above and beyond to deliver to the right person even though I had supplied the incorrect street number. Very happy."

Trusted Customer (15 days ago): "Easy site to use and flowers delivered on time on Christmas Eve, thank you."
