What You're Getting
A glass vase filled with gerberas in every colour the florist can get their hands on. Red, pink, yellow, white, orange, and anything else that's bold at market that morning. Beside it, a soft teddy bear. Above it, a helium "Happy Birthday" balloon. The florist delivers all three together.
This is a single flower type bouquet. All gerberas, nothing else except foliage. That sounds simpler than a mixed bouquet with roses and lilies and filler stems. It isn't. A gerbera face is roughly the size of your palm. Each bloom sits open and forward facing, demanding attention individually. Twelve gerberas in twelve different shades create a colour impact that mixed flower bouquets need five or six species to match. The simplicity of one flower type is what makes the colour register so immediately.

What's In The Vase
Gerberas. All of them. Red gerberas with dark chocolate centres. Hot pink gerberas catching light from every angle. Yellow gerberas that glow against the darker blooms beside them. White or cream gerberas providing contrast. Orange gerberas warming the spaces between. The exact colour count depends on market availability, but the florist's instruction is maximum colour variety. No two adjacent gerberas the same shade.
Green palm frond foliage threads through the arrangement, separating the blooms and giving each face enough space to be seen without crowding. The foliage also adds height and movement above the gerbera line, stopping the arrangement from looking like a flat disc of colour.
The glass vase is included and is doing more than holding water. Gerbera stems are hollow and structurally weaker than rose or lily stems. The vase rim supports the stems and prevents the heavy flower heads from leaning outward and drooping. In a wide mouthed container, gerberas tend to splay within a day. In a cylinder vase, they stay upright and packed together, which is how the photo looks and how the arrangement should land at the door.

Red, pink, hot pink, coral, orange, yellow, cream, white, burgundy, salmon, bicolour. The only common colour they genuinely can't do is blue. "Single flower type bouquets always sit further back in online sales than mixed bouquets and I've never understood why the customer thinks that way. The brain counts flower types on a screen and reads more types as more value. Three species feels richer than one species in ten colours, even when the one species is covering twice the colour range. I used to watch it happen in the shop. Someone would pick up a mixed gerbera bunch, look at it, put it back, and grab a bouquet with roses and carnations and a few bits of filler that had half the colour impact. They assumed more variety in the stems meant more value in the gift. But at the door, the gerbera bunch gets the bigger reaction almost every time. The colour hits all at once. There's nothing competing for attention. Every bloom is the same shape, the same size, facing the same direction, and each one is a completely different colour. The eye doesn't know where to land first. That's the effect you want for a birthday."
Care
The gerberas arrive in the vase, already in water. Leave them for the first day. The florist has conditioned the stems and the flowers need time to settle after the journey.
After the first day, change the water. Gerbera stems are hollow and bacteria colonises the inside faster than solid stemmed flowers. Clean water matters more for gerberas than for roses or lilies. Every two days, lift the arrangement out, rinse the vase, and refill with fresh water. If the stems feel slimy at the bottom, trim half a centimetre off with a clean cut. The hollow stem absorbs water efficiently but it also absorbs bacteria efficiently, so staying on top of water changes extends vase life significantly.
Keep the water level moderate. Five to eight centimetres is enough. Deep water increases the surface area exposed to bacterial growth inside the stem. Shallow water keeps the plumbing cleaner for longer.
Keep the vase out of direct sunlight. Gerberas fade faster in heat than most flowers because the large flat face is effectively a solar panel, absorbing more light per square centimetre than a tight rosebud. A table away from the window will keep the colours vivid for days longer.
The balloon will float for roughly 24 to 48 hours. The teddy bear requires no care and will outlast everything else in the gift by years.

Delivery is $16.95 Australia wide. That fee is subsidised. A hand delivery with a glass vase arrangement, teddy bear, and helium balloon requires more care in handling than a standard wrapped bunch, but the fee stays the same.
Same day delivery if you order before 2pm on weekdays or 10am on Saturdays. Leanne confirmed hers "arrived at the time requested." Mark got "quick response and delivery on time." Michelle ordered after the 2pm cutoff and still received same day delivery, though we can't guarantee that will happen every time. It depends on the local florist's delivery schedule.

Substitution Policy
This is a gerbera only product and it will always be a gerbera only product. The florist won't fill it with roses or chrysanthemums to make up numbers. If a particular gerbera colour isn't available at market that morning, the florist replaces it with another gerbera colour. Red unavailable? Extra coral or burgundy. Yellow short? More orange or cream. The overall effect stays the same: a full vase of mixed colour gerberas with maximum variety. In rare cases where gerbera supply is genuinely limited across most colours, the florist may supplement with a closely related daisy type flower such as a mini gerbera or Germini variety to maintain the look and feel. Any substitution will be of equal or greater value. The teddy bear and balloon are sourced locally by the partner florist. The bear colour and style may vary. The balloon will say "Happy Birthday" but the design may differ. Call 1300 360 469 if you have a specific colour request for the bear or a flower colour you want included or excluded.
