Same Day Delivery - Cromer Wide
You are sending flowers to someone in Cromer and you want them to arrive looking like someone cared. Not like they came off a shelf. Not like they were picked by an algorithm. I get it. The person at the other end of this order matters to you, and you are trusting a stranger to carry that message on your behalf. I'm Siobhan, and Andrew and I have run Lily's Florist since 2009. Cromer is personal for us. Andrew's grandmother Shirley lived here for decades, and twice a year we would drive down from Kingscliff (eight hours, because Andrew refuses to fly when driving is an option) and the whole extended family would converge on her place. The full story of how we got here is on our About Us page.
Cromer is tucked behind Dee Why and Collaroy, away from the beachfront, which means most delivery vans serving the Northern Beaches corridor already pass through the area on their afternoon runs. The suburb is almost entirely freestanding houses with front porches, so first-attempt deliveries here land at a much higher rate than the apartment buildings in Dee Why or Manly.
Order before 2pm weekdays or 10am Saturdays for same day delivery to Cromer. No Sunday delivery. Delivery is $16.95.

Picked for Cromer
Anna, qualified florist, 15 years on the bench and 10,000 calls from our Pottsville office. Birthday is the big one here. Sympathy runs steady year-round. The other two cover everything between.
Anna: The florist picks from the strongest stock at Flemington that morning. In a family suburb with this many birthdays, that freedom produces better results than matching a photo taken six months ago.
View ProductAnna: Box format with foam reservoir. If nobody is home and it waits on a Cromer porch for an hour, the foam keeps the stems hydrated. The chocolates carry the gift if you are not sure of their flower taste.
View ProductAnna: White and green palette with chrysanthemums that last twelve to fourteen days. Works for any occasion where you do not know the recipient's colour preference. Safe, considered, impossible to get wrong.
View ProductAnna: White, cream, and soft mauve. The palette stays appropriate across every funeral tradition on the Northern Beaches, including the Italian families who expect formal sympathy floristry. Works at the service, then goes home.

I worked at the florist at Salt in Kingscliff and the coast teaches you fast. Wind off the water pulls moisture from soft petals through transpiration faster than the stems can replace it. You do not see it happening. The flowers look fine until the edges go papery and the whole thing collapses in a day.
Cromer is not front row to the water but the entire Northern Beaches corridor gets that onshore flow, pushed up and over the ridge from Collaroy and Dee Why. Flowers on a windowsill or a balcony facing north can lose two or three days of vase life from air movement alone. Roses and gerberas are the worst for it. Thin petals, nothing waxy to protect them.
The fix is construction, not avoidance. A good florist builds the outer ring with woody stems. Grevillea, leucadendron, eucalyptus. Tough, built for exposed conditions. The delicate flowers sit inside that frame. Same logic as a windbreak on a farm. The structure absorbs the hit so the roses do not have to. A bunch built that way outlasts one built soft all the way through by three or four days at a Cromer address.
A bloke rang from Newcastle once, ordering for his mum near Cromer. She had just moved down from the Hunter, north-facing window, not sure what would survive. I steered him toward the native option. Explained why. He went with it. Called back three weeks later and said she had rung him specifically to say the flowers were still going. That never happens, he said. It was the stems.
No warehouse. No box on a plane. A florist in or near Cromer gets your order that morning and the whole thing happens in one shop on one day. Stems from Flemington, conditioned in the cool room, built by hand, carried to the address by the same person who made it.
* The chalkboard above shows how a Lily's Florist order moves from your screen to a partner florist's bench to the recipient.
The products above handle the what. This section handles the how. Cromer is a suburb where families have stayed put across generations, the gardens are established, and the occasions tend to be personal. Birthday flowers are the volume here. The three cards below cover the occasions that need specific guidance on timing, addressing, and getting it right.
Their birthday is today, or it is this week, and you cannot be there for it. You are looking for something that says more than a text message and actually shows up at their door looking like somebody gave it thought.
Order before 2pm weekdays and the flowers arrive the same afternoon. If you are ordering for a weekend birthday, place it Friday before 2pm for Saturday delivery. Cromer is almost entirely houses, so the driver can leave it at the front door or side gate if nobody answers. Put the recipient's mobile number in the order notes and the florist will call ahead when they are ten minutes out.
I processed thousands of birthday orders from the Pottsville office and the question that came up most was "will it look like the photo?" The honest answer is: with a Florist's Choice product, the photo is a mood board, not a blueprint. The florist picks from whatever looked strongest at Flemington that morning. Sounds like a compromise. It is the opposite. A florist who builds from today's best stock produces a better result than one who hunts for specific stems three days old on the shelf.
You have just heard the news and you are working out what to do from a distance. The family may or may not have a service date. You may or may not know which funeral home is involved. The uncertainty around this order is completely normal.
If flowers are going to a service, call us on 1300 360 469 so we can coordinate the delivery timing with the funeral director. If you do not know which funeral home is handling things, send to the family home instead. In our experience, most people do, and from what our florists have seen, it is often more meaningful than a formal tribute at the service. The flowers are there when the visitors leave and the house goes quiet. Our sympathy range includes wreaths, sheaths, and boxed tributes.
Keep the card short. "Thinking of your family" or "With love from all of us" is plenty. The card carries your name and your presence. The words do not need to carry the whole weight.
Anna on sympathy palettes: White and cream age better in a tribute setting than vivid colour. A white rose on day four still reads as a white rose. A bright gerbera on day four looks tired. I would add soft green or a touch of blush among the whites for texture. Ann Wilson Funerals on Pittwater Road in Dee Why and Northern Beaches Funerals cover most services in this part of Sydney. For the Italian families around Cromer, white chrysanthemums carry specific cultural weight in grief. If you know the family has Italian heritage, mention it in the order notes and the florist will adjust.
No occasion. No milestone. You have been thinking about them and you want them to know. The thinking of you category covers exactly this.
For a delivery to Levande Maybrook retirement village on Maybrook Avenue, flowers typically go to the main reception. Put the resident's full name and unit number in the delivery notes. For any of the other aged care facilities within the Northern Beaches corridor, same approach. Full name, facility name, unit or room number. The more detail in the notes, the faster the flowers reach the right person.
Keep the card short. "No reason. Just thinking of you" is plenty. Or something specific to a shared memory. The card on this kind of order lands harder than any other occasion because nobody was expecting anything at all.
For a retirement village room or a small unit, scent matters more than size. I would go with freesias or sweet Williams over a big mixed bunch. Three stems of freesia in a posy jar will fill a room by the second morning. A large bouquet on a bedside table in a compact space feels like too much. Scale down, turn the fragrance up.
Florists Choice Birthday Bunch from $74.50. Delivery $16.95.
Order Before 2pm for Same DayThe Florist's Choice Bunch at $74.50 and the Florist's Choice at $81.75 take the decision off your plate entirely. You pick the budget. The florist picks the stems from the best of the morning's stock. No brief required.
If the delivery is going to a Cromer address near the lagoon or facing north, drop a note in the order. Thirty seconds of typing gives the florist enough context to adjust. For exposed positions I would lean toward the Blissful Botanics Bunch. The green chrysanthemums in it last twelve to fourteen days and do not care about wind or warmth. Several extra days of vase life for no extra cost.
The whole family in the same yard at once. Those days are rarer than you think until they stop altogether.
* December 27, 2014. Grandma Shirley's place in Cromer. Cousin Liz, Andrew's niece, me, Grandma Shirley, and our girls Asha and Ivy. We all looked a LOT younger. LOL.
2pm weekdays. 10am Saturdays. No Sunday delivery. The Sydney Flower Market at Flemington closes Saturday, and stock sourced on Friday loses vase life through a Sunday run.
$16.95. Flat rate. The actual cost of getting flowers to a Cromer address runs higher. We have subsidised the fee and kept it consistent.
Order at lilysflorist.com.au or call 1300 360 469. Calling is faster if you need specific timing sorted.
Wakehurst Parkway, the main arterial connecting Cromer to Frenchs Forest and the wider road network, floods during heavy rain. When it closes, the alternative route through Dee Why via Pittwater Road adds time. In our experience, the partner florists covering this corridor factor rain events into their afternoon scheduling. If heavy rain is forecast and you have a specific delivery window, call us and we will coordinate directly with the florist. Cromer's 78% freestanding house rate means the driver can almost always leave flowers at the porch if nobody answers. Order before 2pm and your flowers can be there this afternoon.

"Flowers were exceptional. Beautiful variety and every one was able to shine separately as well as together."
Jenny · verified customer · Bright Arrangement With Chocolates · 11 Feb 2026
Order This ArrangementJenny ordered the Bright Arrangement With Chocolates and described the result in a way that tells me the florist built it properly.
The phrase "every one was able to shine separately as well as together" is describing what happens when a florist colour-blocks a box build with intent. Hot pink roses on one side, orange transitioning to yellow, purple statice filling the gaps. Each stem reads individually because the colour pathway has structure. A random scatter would never produce that effect. The foam format is the other advantage here. The stems drink from the foam, the foam drinks from the water you pour in. A box like this on a Cromer kitchen bench holds its shape for five to seven days without attention. Top up the water every second day and the statice and foliage will still look deliberate at day ten.
Your order routes to one of our partner florists near Cromer. They pick up the stems from Flemington that morning and the whole thing is made from scratch for your order, on the day. Not assembled in a warehouse the night before. Built by the person who carries it to the recipient.
If something goes wrong, send photos of the front of the arrangement and the back of the wrapping within 24 hours to [email protected] or call 1300 360 469. We need photos to properly assess what happened. Without them, we are guessing.
You will not get a delivery confirmation email with a photo attached. That is not how a relay network works. The florist builds it, delivers it, and moves on to the next run. If the recipient has not called or texted you by the evening, that is normal. Most people open the door, put the flowers on the kitchen bench, take a photo, send it to the person they think sent them, and get on with their day. The gap between delivery and acknowledgment can be hours. Give it a day. If you genuinely need to check, ring us on 1300 360 469 and we will contact the florist directly.
We have been running this network since 2009. The Northern Beaches corridor is one of the steadiest delivery areas in Sydney. The florists covering Cromer, Dee Why, Narrabeen, and Collaroy have driven these roads for years. They understand the weather patterns and factor rain days into their scheduling without being told.
