Same Day Delivery - Casuarina Wide
Someone you love lives in Casuarina and you are not there. That is usually the feeling behind an order to this suburb, and I know it well. I'm Siobhan Thomson, and Andrew and I have run Lily's Florist since 2009. We moved to Casuarina in 2006, before Coles arrived, before the bike paths connected the beach to the creek, before the e-bikes took over every footpath. We raised our daughter Asha in a villa on Canthium Way while the suburb filled in around us. When someone orders flowers to a street here, chances are we walked that street when it was still sand and developer signage.
Our office is three kilometres up the road in Kingscliff, and our florist Anna lives here in Casuarina (she knows the salt air better than anyone, more on that below). There is no florist in Casuarina anymore. Andrew walked into Seven Blooms opposite Coles last May to get me Mother's Day flowers, and the owner told him she was closing and moving to a home studio. Google still lists it as open, but it is a tobacconist now. Your flowers come from a partner florist in Tweed Heads or Banora Point who delivers the same day.

Anna, qualified florist, 15+ years hands-on and 10,000 orders processed from right here on the Tweed Coast. Birthday or new baby at the hospital, start with the first two. Something for a new home in Kings Forest, the box arrangement survives a front porch better than a bunch in salt air.
Anna: The disbuds in this bunch give it a fortnight in a cool room. On the Casuarina coast, keep it out of direct sun and the purple pigments hold instead of pinking out.
View ProductAnna: Proteas, banksias, waxflower. These are built for salt air. Banksia grows wild in Cudgen Nature Reserve next door. The resinous stems do not drop petals in the onshore breeze the way European varieties do.
View ProductAnna: Foam base holds water for 24 to 48 hours without attention. For a new estate front porch where the recipient might be at work, the foam buys time the bunch format cannot.
View ProductAnna: Florist's Choice means the florist builds from what is strongest that morning at Rocklea. For Tweed Valley Hospital, the latitude lets them skip anything with heavy fragrance.

I live in Casuarina. Before Andrew and Siobhan brought me on at Lily's, I was working for Alex at a florist called Pollen at Salt in Salt Village, which happened to be their first partner florist in this area after Murwillumbah. Pollen closed around 2012. Seven Blooms opposite Coles was the last one standing and that shut in mid-2025. There is not one florist between South Tweed and Pottsville now. Your flowers come from a partner florist in Tweed Heads or Banora Point who knows this coast. So when I talk about what the onshore breeze does to an arrangement left on a front porch between Casuarina Way and the beach, I am not guessing from a textbook. I made arrangements at that bench in Salt Village for several years. I watched what came back and I heard what customers told me.
Gypsophila drops petals in salt air within hours. The tiny florets dry out, detach, and leave a trail of white dots across the tiles. Waxflower does the same job visually but the resinous coating on the stem seals in moisture and the salt does not get through. For any arrangement going to a Casuarina address, I defaulted to waxflower as filler. Same texture in the bunch, same volume, but it held. I took over 10,000 calls from the Pottsville office, orders going to every corner of Australia, but a decent portion were people sending to the Tweed Coast. The ones who complained about "bits falling off the flowers" were almost always describing gypsophila on a coastal delivery. Once I started steering those orders toward waxflower filler, the complaints stopped.
Your order goes to a partner florist in Tweed Heads or Banora Point. Not a warehouse, not a distribution centre. A person with a cool room, a bench, and a bucket of stems that came off the Rocklea truck that morning. They build your flowers by hand, and they have been delivering to this stretch of coast for years.
* How an order moves through the Lily's Florist network, from your phone to a florist's bench to the door.
The products above cover the what. This section covers the how, because getting flowers to the right place at the right time in Casuarina takes a bit of local knowledge. A celebration at Salt Village and a quiet morning delivery to a new home in Kings Forest are two very different jobs, and the details below come from years of delivering here.
Your mum moved to the Tweed Coast and you are still in Sydney or Melbourne. The birthday comes around and you cannot fly up for it. The flowers are the next best thing, and they need to land right. Most Casuarina homes have covered front porches and wide entries, so safe-drop is usually straightforward. The 26.9% who work from home are likely to be there during delivery hours, which helps. If the house is in one of the newer Kings Forest estates, add lot numbers and cross streets in the delivery notes because GPS is still catching up with the new roads out there. For birthday flowers for mum, morning delivery tends to land better than afternoon.
Something Anna pointed out to me that I had not thought about: the fruit bowl. A lot of these Casuarina kitchens have bananas and avocados on the counter year-round. Anna, on the ethylene problem: Ripening fruit gives off ethylene gas, which is what makes carnations curl and lisianthus drop petals overnight. Move the flowers to the dining table or the living room, away from the fruit. In a warm Casuarina kitchen in January, that one move is worth a couple of extra days of vase life.
The baby has arrived and you want flowers there quickly. Tweed Valley Hospital on Cudgen Road opened in May 2024, and it is the closest major hospital to Casuarina at about six minutes by car. Delivery goes to the Patient Desk, and staff bring the flowers up to the room. Address the card to the mother's name, not the baby's, because the baby may not have a name registered yet. No flowers are permitted in ICU or the special care nursery. If the mother has been discharged before your new baby flowers arrive, hospital reception will hold them but cannot redirect to a home address.
Day one after a birth is chaos. Visitors, phone calls, adrenaline, exhaustion. I learned on the phones that day two or day three is when flowers make the biggest impact. The room has quietened, the initial rush has passed, and a bunch of flowers arriving at the desk feels less like one more thing to manage and more like someone thinking of them. For a caesarean recovery, day three is even better. The mother is more alert, more mobile, and actually notices what is on the bedside table. "Congratulations" on the card is enough. You do not need to write a paragraph.
Casuarina is still growing. Kings Forest on the western side has been civil works for the last three years, mostly sewage, drainage, parks, electricity, but in the last few months actual homes have started going up. Right now it is mostly finished streets with almost nobody living on them, which has made it a favourite for L-plater drivers and their parents doing laps on a Sunday. Your friend, your colleague, your sister just picked up the keys and the house is full of boxes and bare walls. A just-because gift at the door says you noticed. The challenge with a brand new estate is practical. Streets that exist on a developer's map do not always exist on GPS yet. Construction traffic blocks access roads during weekday mornings. Landscaping is minimal, which means there may not be a covered porch or a letterbox to leave flowers beside. Put specific delivery notes in the order: lot number, nearest completed street, and a phone number for the recipient so the florist can call ahead.
A box arrangement is a better bet for a new home than a bunch. The new owners probably do not have a vase unpacked yet, and the foam holds its own water. No trimming, no hunting through boxes for something to put the flowers in. I would pick the bright arrangement with chocolates for this. The foam reservoir keeps stems hydrated for a full day even if nobody tops it up, the chocolates double as a housewarming gift, and the whole thing can sit on a kitchen bench straight out of the delivery box. If the delivery is going to a property where nobody has moved in yet, leave a contact number. The florist in Banora Point or Tweed Heads will call if the address is hard to find.

Order Before 2pm for Same DayThe Australian Natives Bunch suits Casuarina better than most suburbs in Australia. The proteas and banksias are practically designed for the coastal conditions here, and they match the relaxed feel of the homes along this part of the Tweed Coast. If the recipient has strong colour preferences, the Purple and Lilac Bunch is a deliberate, considered choice that works for birthdays, thinking of you, or sympathy without reading as generic. Both are in the product grid above. Pick any of the four and a partner florist in Tweed Heads or Banora Point will have it at the door the same day, provided you get in before 2pm weekdays or 10am Saturdays.
In 2006, Casuarina was Salt Village, a handful of houses, and a lot of sand. Some residents drove their cars down the bike track to avoid being pulled over, if you can believe it. Our villa on Canthium Way became command central. Baby bottles stacked to the ceiling, BPA-free products in every room, whilst Andrew and I ran the flower and gift shop in Kingscliff. I still laugh thinking about the looks from the few neighbours we had.

2pm weekdays, 10am Saturdays. No Sunday delivery. Sunday orders queue for Monday morning, and on the Tweed Coast a Monday bunch starts the week right.
Flat rate, subsidised. The actual cost of getting flowers from a cool room in Banora Point to a Casuarina address is higher. We absorb the difference.
Casuarina is a beachfront suburb. The onshore breeze carries salt to every street east of Casuarina Way, and in summer the UV index pushes past 11. Flowers left unattended between midday and 3pm in January will deteriorate faster than the same flowers delivered in the morning. If nobody is home, morning delivery is the safer window, especially for properties closer to the beach. Our florists know this. Leave a note with your order if you want to specify morning or afternoon. Order before 2pm today and your flowers are there this afternoon.

"Thank you very much for the delivery of the beautiful flowers which were delivered recently to my nonagenarian brother and his wife in Rosebud on their March 2026 birthdays. They were delighted with the vibrant Deluxe display of the Purple and Lilac Bunch. I look forward to Internet ordering again from New Zealand which was straight-forward and the flowers were delivered right on time."
Kenneth · verified customer · ordered from New Zealand
Send the Same BunchKenneth ordered the Deluxe Purple and Lilac Bunch from New Zealand for a birthday in Rosebud, Victoria. Different suburb, same scenario: someone who loves their family is too far away to be there. That story repeats thousands of times across our orders every year.
The Deluxe at $86.95 gives you the density you see in the product photo. The disbud chrysanthemums are the insurance policy in this bunch. They outlast everything else. Twelve to fourteen days in a cool room, and they look the same on day ten as they did on day one. The roses and lisianthus give the first week of colour. The disbuds carry the second. A customer who pulls the spent stems on day seven gets a completely different but still beautiful arrangement for the back half of the fortnight. Two looks from one bunch.
Vera's review below the five-stars is worth mentioning. She ordered and received yellow flowers instead of lilac, and she was not happy. The substitution policy means the florist may use different coloured stems when the specified ones are not available that day. Most of the time it works. Sometimes the colour shift is too far from what the customer expected. If purple is the reason someone chose this product, and it usually is, mentioning "please keep to the purple and lilac palette" in the delivery notes helps the florist prioritise the colour story even when specific stems are unavailable.
Your order reaches a partner florist in Tweed Heads or Banora Point within minutes. They stock from the Rocklea market run and know the delivery routes from Chinderah through to Cabarita Beach. They build your arrangement from what is freshest on the bench that morning, and they have it out for delivery by early afternoon. You will not get a photo of the finished product before it goes. The call from the person who opens the door is how you know it arrived.
If something goes wrong, call 1300 360 469 or email [email protected]. We are open 7am to 6pm weekdays and 10am Saturdays. We are in Kingscliff, three kilometres from Casuarina. This is not a call centre in another state.
I take complaints personally, which Siobhan tells me is a character flaw but it has served the business well. If flowers arrive and they are not right, I ring the florist myself. Not a form, not an email chain. A phone call, from Kingscliff, usually within the hour. We have been running deliveries on the Tweed Coast since 2006. We know the florists, we know the roads, and when something goes wrong on a delivery to Casuarina or Kingscliff or anywhere along this coast, I want to know about it before the end of the day. Running the business from the same postcode as the delivery address makes that possible.
Your flowers are made by hand in a cool room twenty minutes from Casuarina and delivered the same day. One of our partner florists near the Tweed Coast will have them at the door, and if they do not, we will hear about it.
