Description
White roses, purple lisianthus, and green spider chrysanthemums with mixed foliage, hand tied and delivered by a partner florist on the day. From $79.95 with same day delivery if you order before 2pm weekdays or 10am Saturdays. Vase not included.
The photo shows the Premium size (+$31). Your bunch will follow the same white, purple, and green colour palette. Individual stem varieties may vary depending on what's freshest at market on the day. The vase shown is for display purposes and is not included.
What's In The Bunch
Three flowers doing three different jobs. The white roses are the focal point. Full, creamy, open heads that draw your eye first. The purple lisianthus sits between and around the roses, adding depth and a colour contrast that lifts the whole arrangement. And the lime green spider chrysanthemums (fuji mums, some florists call them) add texture with those long, spiky curling petals that catch the light differently depending on the angle. Mixed fern foliage fills out the base.
Lisianthus is a flower most people don't recognise by name but would pick out in a photo. The ruffled petals look similar to roses from a distance, but up close the texture is completely different. Softer, thinner, more layered. They also come with unopened buds on the same stem, which means they keep opening over the first few days in the vase. Anna, who spent fifteen years as a working florist before joining us, reckons lisianthus is one of the most underrated stems at market. "People default to roses because they feel safe. But lisianthus gives you longevity and multiple blooms per stem for the same money. A good lisianthus stem will outlast most roses by three or four days."
That combination of rose, lisianthus, and chrysanthemum also means different fade timelines. The roses will go seven to ten days. The lisianthus can push ten to twelve. The spider mums, properly conditioned, can last two weeks. When the roses start to tire, the lisianthus and mums keep the bunch looking full. You're not watching everything collapse at once.
Sizing
Four sizes. Standard starts at $79.95. Deluxe adds extra stems for $6 more. Premium at +$31 is the one shown in the photo, noticeably bigger and fuller. Extra Large at +$45 is what you'd send when you want the bunch to fill a large vase properly.
Vase is not included. We sell flowers with vases separately. A medium width vase with enough room for the stems to breathe works best. Too narrow and they're crushed together competing for water. Too wide and they splay.
Order before 2pm weekdays for same day delivery. Select your size above.
Who Sends This One
The white, purple, and green palette sits in an interesting spot. It's bright enough for birthdays and celebrations but calm enough for sympathy and thinking of you. Most mixed bunches are clearly one or the other. This one crosses the line.
Louise's partner David selected this for his mother's 90th birthday. "The flowers were fresh and have remained on her table for almost a week now." A 90th is the kind of occasion where you want the flowers to feel considered, not generic, and the lilac and lime combination reads that way. Jill sent it to a friend "over the loss of her beloved pet and the flowers lasted for such a long time, she was very happy with them." Pet loss is something people underestimate. It's real grief and the response matters. Jill chose well because this palette is gentle without being funereal.
Pauline's review is worth reading for what it says about the buying experience. She called to finalise her order and described the staff as "helpful and courteous." Her sister "was delighted with its quality, and the timing of its delivery." That kind of feedback comes in regularly from people who make a phone call before ordering. If you want to talk through the options, our team is on 1300 360 469 (Mon to Fri, 7am to 6pm, Sat 7am to 12pm).
If you want something brighter and more colourful, the Florist's Choice Bright Mixed at $79.95 lets the florist go bold. If you want white and green without the purple, the Blissful Botanics Bunch at $79.95 is a cleaner, more neutral option. Browse our full purple flowers range or all bunches for more.
When To Order
Any day works. But if you have the luxury of choosing, there's a freshness window most people don't know about.
"Flower markets run Tuesday to Saturday. Monday arrangements use Saturday stock. It's still good, but it's already two or three days old before it reaches the vase. Tuesday through Friday, the florist is working with stems bought that morning or the day before. Not a big deal for most people, but if you want maximum vase life and you have flexibility on the day, mid week is the sweet spot."
Lisa ordered this bunch and mentioned being "contacted and kept in the loop regarding a delay in delivery." Delays happen. Weather, traffic, a florist running behind on a busy day. What matters is how they're handled. Our team contacts you if something changes rather than letting you wonder. Lisa also said "the flower arrangement was even bigger and more colourful than expected." That's the florist making a call on the day to include extra where they can.
Care
When the bunch arrives, unwrap it, trim all the stems at a forty five degree angle with sharp scissors, and strip every leaf that would sit below the waterline. Room temperature water for the first fill, about two thirds of the vase. Change it every two to three days.
Keep the arrangement out of direct afternoon sun and away from heavy aircon. Both accelerate dehydration. The lisianthus is particularly sensitive to sun because those thin, layered petals lose moisture faster than the thicker rose or chrysanthemum blooms. A spot with bright indirect light is the best compromise.
As the flowers fade at different rates, pull out individual stems rather than leaving them in. Decaying flowers release bacteria into the water that shorten the life of everything else in the vase. The roses will likely go first. The lisianthus and mums will carry the arrangement for days after.
Summer Delivery
If you're ordering between November and March, the delivery conditions matter more than most people realise. Anna has strong views on this.
"Midday summer deliveries are the toughest part of the job. Van interiors hit forty five degrees. The flowers are respiring faster, bacteria multiplying faster, water evaporating faster. An hour sitting in a hot vehicle can cost two days of vase life. Smart florists deliver outer suburbs early morning, CBD runs around lunch when it's aircon to aircon, and they never leave arrangements in the van during a break. That hour is VIP."
We can't control the weather, but our partner florists know their routes and plan accordingly. If you're ordering in summer and the recipient works from home or is likely to be out, add a delivery note so the florist knows whether to leave the bunch at the door or attempt contact first. Flowers sitting on a hot front step for three hours is a problem that's easily avoided.
Delivery
Your bunch is hand tied and delivered by a real partner florist from our network of 800+ across Australia. We've been running this network since 2009. Made fresh on the day from market stock and hand delivered to the door.
Delivery is $16.95 Australia wide. That fee is subsidised. The actual cost of getting a florist to hand deliver to a specific address is often higher, but we absorb the difference.
Same day delivery if you order before 2pm on weekdays or 10am on Saturdays. No Sunday deliveries. Flower markets close Saturday afternoon, and any florist delivering on a Sunday is working with Friday stock that's already lost roughly 30% of its vase life.
Need to change something after ordering? Email [email protected], call us on 1300 360 469 (Mon to Fri, 7am to 6pm, Sat 7am to 12pm), or use live chat. If something isn't right with the delivery, get in touch within 24 hours with a photo and we'll sort it out.
Select your delivery date and size above and add to cart for same day delivery.
Substitution Policy
From time to time, due to seasonality and supply, our partner florists may need to replace individual flowers within this bunch. Roses and chrysanthemums are available year round so those elements tend to stay consistent. Lisianthus is widely available but can be harder to source in some regions or at certain times of year. If a substitution is needed, any flower replaced will be of equal or greater value and will stay within the white, purple, and green colour palette shown. The overall style and feel of the bunch will be maintained. If you have specific preferences or need to exclude certain flowers, add a note to your order or contact us and we'll pass the instruction to the florist directly.
