We Know Merrimac Through Tuesday Night Drives Home
Merrimac sits between the M1 and suburbs like Robina, Carrara, Worongary. Residential area, mix of established homes and newer developments. Close to Robina Town Centre, near the Metricon Stadium area. Proper Gold Coast suburban living.
Both Asha and Ivy play netball together, same team. Carrara Sports Stadium is their regular Tuesday night venue. We drive up from Kingscliff, pass through Merrimac three Tuesday nights a month. Sometimes, if it's an early game and they finish at a reasonable time, we stop at Mike's Kitchen in Merrimac for a quick feed on the way home.
Not every week as sometimes they play up in Runaway Bay, but often enough it's become familiar. You learn areas through these routines, the drive home when everyone's tired but happy, hungry teenagers needing food before the drive back to Kingscliff. Merrimac is part of our Tuesday night geography now, woven into the netball season rhythm.

We're based in Kingscliff, Gold Coast is literally next door. When we bought Kingscliff Florist in 2007, Gold Coast expansion happened immediately. Merrimac came into our delivery network in those early days, one of many Gold Coast suburbs we started covering straight away.
Now we're up there multiple times a week for netball. Strange how business areas become personal areas years later through completely different reasons. Both girls playing together now, Asha's 18, Ivy's 14. Those Tuesday night drives, occasional Mike's Kitchen stops when the timing works out, it's just part of life now.
Still Andrew and me running this after seventeen years, still doing the netball taxi runs, still coordinating Gold Coast deliveries we've been doing since the beginning.
