Avon's one of those suburbs in the Illawarra that most people drive through without thinking much about it. But for Andrew, the whole Wollongong region has a particular pull. His best mate David went to uni there in the 90s, studied computer science and engineering at University of Wollongong. Andrew was down visiting all the time, crashing on David's floor, eating two minute noodles, doing whatever uni mates do when one's studying and the other's just there for the weekend. Those Wollongong streets, the escarpment looming behind everything, the beach always close, it all became pretty familiar.

Strange thing is, back then, sending flowers to someone wasn't even on the radar. You're in your twenties, your mate lives in a share house that smells like old socks, flowers are about the last thing on anyone's mind. Fast forward a few decades and now we're delivering flowers to Avon and surrounding Wollongong suburbs constantly. Life takes weird turns.

How We Deliver to Avon

Partner florists around the Illawarra handle Avon deliveries. Order comes in, gets routed to whichever florist can fill it based on the postcode and what they've got in stock that day. If one florist is low on red roses, the order goes to the next closest who has them. That's the system.

Real florist shops, trained staff, local couriers who know which streets are which. Made fresh that morning, delivered same day if you order before 2pm Monday to Friday, or 10am Saturday. Still a Mum and Dad Business

No boardrooms, no marketing team, no offshore call centres. Decisions get made at the dinner table or driving the kids to netball. Started with one flower shop in Kingscliff in 2006, now delivering to suburbs all over NSW including Avon. Andrew's mate David probably never imagined that all those visits down to Wollongong would somehow connect to a flower delivery network 30 years later. Neither did we, honestly.
