Lily's Florist Delivery to Brisbane

Lily's Florist to Brisbane QLD reviews

Can I order flowers online to go to Brisbane?

Yes you can, you can order them online, or by calling.

Can you deliver to Brisbane, or any suburb today?

The simple answer is yes we can do that for you. There is only one proviso, and the if you want flowers delivered today, please allow us some time to get the order out. That means, ordering from your desktop computer, tablet, or iPhone, before about 2pm. If the flowers are being ordered online to go to a school we ask you try and order before 12pm, as most schools shut down at 3pm.

I need flowers delivered at 9am tomorrow, if I order now (being the day before), can you guarantee that for me?

No we cannot, totally sorry about that. We don’t guarantee delivery times. The main reason for this is flower supply, and traffic, the two bruising factors as to why…we’re bound to some degree by the efficiency of our courier company and, from time to time, there are massive traffic jams in Brisbane which can really hamper our efforts to get flowers delivered at specific times of the day. Further, sometimes our flower suppliers deliver our flower later than usual, mostly because of traffic, which makes in incredibly difficult for us.

What is the most popular size of flowers you sell?

The medium size. Funny thing right, it’s possibly like when you are ordering wine in a restaurant. Rarely do you order the cheapest, and rarely is the most expensive ordered. More practically, people don’t want to overdo it, generally speaking, conversely they don’t want to underdo it too.

Many women ask, “Is it okay to send a guy flowers?” Well, we are in the 21st century and women of today are on the same level as the gentlemen so there shouldn’t be any issue when a lady expresses affection towards her man through flowers. Gone are the days when rigid gender roles regulate how a man and a woman act.

It’s perfectly okay to send flowers to a man but will he appreciate it? Would a man take time to smell the roses? These are perhaps the questions that need to be answered. Let’s see: while it is uncommon for a man to admit that he enjoys receiving flowers, it isn’t uncommon to see men doing and enjoying other supposedly girly stuff like getting a facial treatment or a manicure.  Times have changed, after all. Men, given their macho façade, would probably just be too hesitant to be upfront about liking flowers when in their subconscious, they are happy to receive such uniquely odd present.

If you want to surprise your man in Brisbane with an utterly unique and unexpected gift, allow us to deliver a bouquet of flowers to him. We at Lily’s Florist can help you pick the right flowers for male recipients.

Based on our observation and our inquiry, most men in Brisbane prefer “masculine” flowers. These are fresh blooms without the frills. Think monochromatic, simple, straightforward, bold but not bright, robust and full-bodied flower arrangements. What do we recommend? Well, you can send a bouquet of seasonal blooms in a monochromatic colour palette, in red, blue or deep purple. Our Red Bunch composed of scarlet gerbera daisies and red roses would be a great choice along with our Blue Mist bunch or arrangement. The red and green ensemble of Olivia from our Luxe Range is also a nice pick. The large sunflowers mixed with red daisies in our Lala ensemble also fit the bill.

If your man has a favourite hobby, it will be easier to add a personal touch to your flower gift. Pair your chosen bouquet or flower arrangement with something that relates to his hobby or interest.

Flowers for men can be given on any occasion but it’s best to reserve your flower gift to celebrate a truly special occasion like a milestone in his life or in your relationship. Be careful of overdoing the gesture or you’ll lose the element of surprise. Unlike most women who’d prefer to receive flowers any chance possible, a male recipient might not be too eager to get a bouquet three times a year, at every “special” occasion – his birthday, your anniversary, and his promotion. Remember that for most men, this sweet gesture from a lady will remain odd. A flower surprise once every few years, depending if your man showed appreciation the first time you sent one, would be just right.

And for the men out there who received flowers from their girls, just take it in the manner it was intended – it is to let you know that she is into you.

Hospital Flowers Daily to Brisbane

hospital flowers delivery to Brisbane QLD

A beautiful ensemble of sunflowers and lush foliage can surely aid healing and facilitate a speedy recovery. Get one of our yellow flower arrangements and send it to a loved one admitted at one of Brisbane’s hospitals.

When arranging a get-well flower delivery to someone in the hospital, make sure you provide us the following information:

  • Name, address and contact number of the hospital
  • Full name of the patient
  • Room number
  • Preferred time of delivery
  • Hospital policies in sending gifts, if you’re familiar with them

Lily’s Florist recommends sending fresh flowers to Brisbane in bright and bold colours. Skip the fragrant blooms like lilies and hyacinths for another occasion as it may trigger allergies and sensitivities. Although you can pick the flower varieties you wish to send, we can help you select ones with less or no pollen for an allergy-free floral gift. Some of the best options you can consider are gerbera daisies, hybrid roses, orchids, baby’s breath, daffodils, geraniums, zinnias, and tulips.

Due to limited space in a hospital room, it is sensible that you send a small flower gift and one that already includes a vase so it is ready for display. Potted plants are best avoided because of soil-related infections and allergies. If you want to make your gift extra special, you can add a get well balloon. We use mylar balloons and not the allergy-causing latex balloons that hospitals ban. We do have gift hampers filled with fresh fruits, savoury snacks, and pampering essentials that you can add to any flower ensemble.

Lily’s Florist can deliver to most hospitals in Brisbane where flowers and gift basket deliveries are allowed. Alternatively, we can also deliver flower gifts to the recipient’s home after being discharged from the hospital.
