I reckon I should come clean about something before we go any further. The Gold Coast isn't just another delivery location for us. It's where our kids go to school. Both of them, Reedy Creek. Asha's almost finished now, Ivy not far behind. We live just across the border in Kingscliff but honestly, we spend more time on the Gold Coast than we do in our own town. School runs, netball training in Mudgeeraba, catching up with friends in Burleigh or Broadbeach, grabbing dinner in Robina. We cross that border 7 days a week, sometimes twice in a single day. So when someone orders flowers to the Gold Coast through Lily's Florist, it genuinely feels like we're sending flowers to our own neighbourhood.
Here's how it works. We're not a warehouse. We don't have a production line churning out identical bouquets wrapped in cellophane. When you order flowers to Southport or Surfers Paradise or Coolangatta or anywhere on the Gold Coast really, your order gets sent to one of our partner florists in the area. These are proper florists with actual shops. Mum and Dad businesses, a lot of them, just like us. They make your flowers fresh that day with whatever is looking best in their cool room. If you've ordered 24 red roses to Main Beach and the closest partner only has 12 left, the system bumps your order to the next florist who can fill it properly. It's seamless from your end but the result is flowers made by someone who actually cares, delivered by someone who knows the streets.

Same day delivery is available when you order before 2PM on weekdays. We cover pretty much everywhere from Coolangatta and Tweed Heads South, all the way up through Palm Beach, Burleigh, Broadbeach, Surfers, Southport, and out west to places like Nerang, Mudgeeraba, Robina, and Ormeau.
Back in 2007 we had a little florist and gift shop on Marine Parade in Kingscliff. The plan was to scale back the flowers and lean into organic gifts and baby products. But the previous owner had taken out a Yellow Pages ad, yeah the actual book, and our phone would not stop ringing. Constant calls for flower deliveries. A lot of them were for the Gold Coast. Tweed Heads, Coolangatta, Burleigh, all the way up to Southport. At first we just said sorry, we can't help with that. Must have turned away thousands of calls over those first few months.

* Yes, our actual flower shop in Kingscliff in 2006 - surf shop now
Then one quiet June day, sitting in the shop with about $25 in the till for the entire day, we looked at each other and thought there has to be something we can do with all these calls. What if we rang a florist on the Gold Coast, told them who we were, and asked if they'd make the flowers for us? No fees, just add a few extra stems to cover our commission. The florist we approached said yes. Then another one said yes. Then another.
That was the beginning of what eventually became Lily's Florist. The Gold Coast was one of our very first delivery areas outside our immediate region. Some of those partner relationships are still going 15 plus years later.
Look, you don't need a reason to send flowers to someone. But if you're after one, birthdays are the obvious choice. There's something about flowers arriving at someone's office in Robina Town Centre or their apartment in Broadbeach Waters that makes an ordinary Tuesday feel different. We do a lot of birthday deliveries to the Gold Coast, probably because there's a lot of people living there. Makes sense.
Anniversaries are another big one. Especially for couples who maybe don't do grand gestures very often. Flowers delivered unexpectedly can say more than an expensive dinner sometimes.
And then there's just because flowers. No occasion. No obligation. No birthday reminder popping up on your phone. Just a random act of thinking about someone and doing something about it. Honestly, those are often the ones that land the hardest.
We've been collecting reviews through Feefo since 2013 and more recently ProductReview. Feefo is an independent platform where only verified customers, people who have actually placed an order, can leave feedback. We can't delete the bad ones. We can't get mates to write nice things. It was genuinely terrifying signing up because flowers are subjective. What one person sees as lush and romantic, another might see as over the top. But we backed ourselves and it's paid off.

Over 22,000 reviews now. In 2025, just like 2024, we received a Feefo Trusted Service Award for outstanding customer service. To qualify, a business needs at least 50 reviews in a 12 month period with an average of 4 stars or above. We had over 3,000 in that period. More than 60 times the minimum required.
We're still that same Mum and Dad team from the Kingscliff shop days. Siobhan and I make all the decisions, usually at the dinner table or driving to netball in Mudgeeraba. No boardroom. No marketing department. No offshore call centre. Our team in Armidale answers the phones and they're all Australian.
Flowers start from $42.95. Same day delivery available when you order before 2PM. Browse our range online or give our Armidale team a call if you'd prefer to chat through options. We've been doing this for 18 years now and the Gold Coast has been part of that journey since almost the very beginning.
