Same Day Flowers Delivery - Australia Wide!
My name is Siobhan. I own Lily's Florist with my partner Andrew and we've been sending flowers since 2009. If you want the full version of how we went from buying a struggling florist shop in Kingscliff to running a network of 800+ partner florists across Australia, there's a much longer version on our About Us page. But the short version? We backed ourselves when our accountant told us not to, worked out of a garage for years, hired real florists to give us credibility, and somehow ended up here.

* Our origin story. It was a struggling shop with a 'disgusting' lime green paint job, but it taught us everything we know about the floral industry and the importance of backing yourself.
A large portion of Andrew's Mum's side of the family comes from Maitland and Cessnock. His grandfather was born in Maitland, worked as an engineer in the mines, and happened to be a champion tennis player. Last year we brought Asha and Ivy down to the Hunter so they could understand where some of their family roots actually sit. We found The Orange Tree cafe and it became our go-to. Good coffee, easy parking, the kind of place you end up at three times in four days.
Louth Park has that quiet semi-rural feel. Bigger blocks, a bit of breathing room, close enough to Maitland and East Maitland for schools and shops but far enough out that you can hear yourself think. We deliver same day to Louth Park through our local partner florists in the Hunter.
When you order flowers to Louth Park through Lily's Florist, that order goes to a real florist shop. Trained florists, local staff, proper flower refrigeration, actual couriers who know the area. Your flowers are made fresh that morning, not pulled from a warehouse shelf and posted overnight.

* We started with a chalkboard and a dream in a lime green shop. Today, we use that same local-first mindset to ensure every Louth Park order is handled with care by our Hunter Valley partners.
Some online flower companies do exactly that. Box them in Sydney, post them with Australia Post, call it delivery. By the time they land on a doorstep in Louth Park they're thirsty, bruised, and disappointing.
We built this business on partnerships with real florists. No membership fees for them, no franchise nonsense. We send orders, they add extra flowers to cover our commission, everyone wins. That model started in 2009 when I drove out to Murwillumbah with baby Asha in the car seat, sweating through a pitch to a florist I'd never met, asking if she'd help us with our flower orders. She said yes. So did every florist after her. Seventeen years later that network covers every state and territory.
Order by 2PM weekdays or 10AM Saturdays and we'll get flowers to Louth Park the same day. Delivery is $16.95. If your address falls outside the standard delivery zone and runs higher, we often subsidise the difference. If it gets too far above that, we'll call you first.
We cover Louth Park, Maitland, East Maitland, Rutherford, Thornton, Metford, Telarah, out towards Cessnock and the lower Hunter.
Nobody home? Our courier finds somewhere safe, shaded, out of view from the street. If nowhere works, they call the recipient. Flowers don't get dumped to wilt in the sun.
I asked Anna about this recently. Anna's been with us over 15 years. Qualified florist, worked in shops before joining our team, now handles everything from supplier relationships to calming panicked customers at 1:55PM on Valentine's Day. She knows flowers better than Andrew and I ever will.
New Baby
Anna reckons new baby flowers are one of the most common orders to regional areas like Louth Park. "New parents are exhausted," she said. "They've just been through something massive and suddenly everyone wants to visit. Flowers arriving says 'I'm thinking of you' without asking them to host you for three hours."
Her advice? Avoid anything heavily scented. "Babies have sensitive systems, new mums are overwhelmed by smells they normally wouldn't notice. Soft colours, gentle blooms. Pastels work. Nothing too intense." She also suggests arrangements over bunches for new parents. "An arrangement comes in its own container. Nobody has to hunt for a vase while holding a screaming newborn. It just sits there looking lovely."
We have a whole new baby flower category designed around this thinking.
I'm Sorry
This one's interesting. Anna says apology flowers are more common than people expect. "People don't always talk about it. It feels private. But we get a lot of them. Arguments that got out of hand, things said that shouldn't have been, someone wanting to repair something before it's too late."
The mistake she sees? Going too big. "A massive bouquet can feel like you're trying to buy your way out. Sometimes smaller and sincere hits harder. A really beautiful bunch with a genuine card message does more than sixty red roses with a generic note."
She also mentioned timing. "Don't wait weeks. If you've messed up and you know it, same day delivery matters. Waiting makes it look like an afterthought."
Our I'm Sorry flowers give you options across different price points.
Graduation
Graduations in regional towns like those near Louth Park carry a different weight. Anna sees this firsthand. "Kids from country areas, finishing school, finishing TAFE, finishing uni. The parents are proud in a particular way. Often first in the family to get a degree. It's a big deal."
Her florist perspective? Consider the logistics. "If you're sending to a graduation ceremony, the recipient has to carry those flowers around for hours. Photos, handshakes, walking across stages. A compact bouquet works better than a massive sheaf they can barely hold."
She also mentioned colour. "Graduations are celebrations. Don't go muted and sombre. Bright and joyful. Yellows, oranges, something that photographs well."

We partnered with Feefo in 2013. Review platform endorsed by Google. Only verified customers can leave reviews, meaning people who have actually bought flowers. We can't manufacture praise, can't delete negative ones. It's independent and it keeps us honest.

* Over 23,000 verified reviews since 2013. Anna reads the Hunter Valley feedback closely. "New baby orders to places like this always mention the arrangement arriving in its own container," she says. "New parents don't have to hunt for a vase while holding a screaming newborn. That detail shows up in the reviews constantly."
Over 23,000 reviews since we started. Feefo Trusted Service Award in 2024, 2025, and 2026. Getting that award requires more than 50 reviews at 4 stars or above. We had over 3,000 in the last year alone.
