Same Day Flowers Delivery - Australia Wide!
Order before 2pm on a weekday and flowers reach Trinity Park this afternoon; after that, you pick the day at checkout. New baby? Tell us in the notes whether they're still on the maternity ward at Cairns Hospital or already home. Choose the 3 Gerberas In A Vase or a Bright Bunch + Teddy + Birthday Balloon from our same-day range below, or call us and one of our friendly, Australian-based team will help with the card, which is usually the hard part.
Flowers for a busy Trinity Park house: what lasts when nobody has time to fuss
A house with kids in it, or a newborn, has no spare hands. So I steer those orders to roses and gerberas: no pollen to pinch off, and no perfume filling the room while somebody small is asleep.
The one job left is the water. In a 28 degree room, bacteria cloud a vase inside a day, and a gerbera's hollow stem shows it first: the head tips over at the neck. Fresh water every second day keeps it up. If one bends, cut two centimetres off and stand it in warm water for an hour. It's the oldest trick I was taught in North Carolina, and it still works.
Trinity Park is family houses, street after street, and the orders follow the family calendar: birthdays, new babies and the occasional goodbye at Holy Cross. Our flower bunches suit all three.
There's a birthday dinner booked and your chair is empty this year, so the flowers get there first. Send them to the house during the day and they're in a vase before everyone heads down Harbour Drive to The Bluewater. Add a mobile in case nobody's home until after school. Our birthday flowers for Mum are the usual start, and with so many people here in their late thirties, 40th birthday flowers are worth a look.
Roses do beautifully in a cool room, out of direct sun.
The baby's here and you're nowhere near the cot. Say in the notes whether they're on the maternity ward at Cairns Hospital or home; in our experience, ward flowers go to the desk and staff take them in. A card can be as simple as "Congratulations, all three of you. No need to reply."
Home has its own rules. In 2008 Andrew carried pink roses up to a house in Seabreeze Estate at Pottsville, back home in the Tweed, and found a sign on the screen door: baby asleep, do not knock. He decided a tap on the window wasn't technically knocking, and woke the baby (he still blames the dog). Trinity Park has plenty of houses like that one, so add "please don't knock" and a mobile to the notes.
Of our new baby flowers, go for the 3 Gerberas In A Vase: their own vase, no scent, and small enough for a bedside table.
The notice says Holy Cross on Reed Road. In our experience the funeral director takes the funeral flowers into the church before the service, so put the director's name and the service time in the notes, and send sympathy flowers for home for the quieter days after. Flowers can't do much against a week like that, and the family will still read every card. "Holding you all close this week" is enough.
Anna's call: in a warm church the lilies outlast the roses, because the closed buds carry their own water. The White Lily & Rose Sheath lies flat on the coffin and usually goes home with the family afterwards.
Plenty of orders have no heading: the Holy Cross teacher at the end of the year, the neighbour who fed the dog. Thank-you flowers need a name and a reason on the card, nothing more.
Anna's pick is the Simply Stylish With Chocolates & Vase. It arrives in its own vase, so a teacher's desk doesn't have to find one.

Once you've paid there's an email, and then usually nothing for a while. That's normal, and with a newborn in the house it's more normal still: new parents reply when the baby lets them (I took plenty of worried calls about exactly that, right up until Ivy arrived in 2011). To check it landed, ring us on 1300 360 469, 7am to 6pm weekdays, or email changes to [email protected].
In 2007 and 2008 we were one shop on Marine Parade, Kingscliff, and Cairns was one of our ten busiest delivery areas. In 2009 it was one of the first eight towns in the network. If something's wrong when it arrives, send us a photo that day and we put it right. When we took the calls ourselves, the birthday order that came unstuck most had no mobile on it. Nobody home. Second trip. It's the one line in the notes worth the ten seconds.
