My name is Siobhan. Andrew and I started Lily's Florist back in 2006 from a tiny florist shop on Marine Parade in Kingscliff. * The Physical Start. Back in 2006, Bilinga was just a short drive north from our shop. We learned these roads by delivering them ourselves, pregnant with Asha and figuring out how to make a national business feel local.

Bilinga was always on our radar because of how close it is to home. We still live in Kingscliff, about 15 minutes south, and the Gold Coast has been woven into our family life for nearly two decades now. Our girls went to school in Reedy Creek for six years. Ivy plays basketball at Carrara on Friday nights. And every Saturday morning, without fail, we are at netball in Mudgeeraba.

Saturday Mornings and Golden Times

Saturday netball at Mudgeeraba has become a bit of a ritual. Ivy plays, we stand on the sidelines trying to stay warm in winter or find shade in summer, and then we pack up and head home. But not before stopping at Golden Times in Bilinga. Andrew cannot function without his espresso and Ivy has developed a serious matcha habit. You cannot hide tired petals in an all white arrangement, everything has to be fresh. It works for sympathy, but also congratulations or a new home. Rounds out the top three and Anna loves this one personally. "Blue tones are unusual in flowers, which is exactly why they stand out.
