Earlier this year I took our eldest daughter Asha to Bondi Beach. She'd never been, which seems odd given how iconic the place is, but living up in Kingscliff you don't exactly pop down to Sydney's Eastern Suburbs on a whim. We made a proper day of it. Started at the markets near the mini school on a Sunday morning, wandered through the stalls, grabbed a coffee on the promenade and just watched the world go by. That stretch of coastline has an energy to it, doesn't it? Surfers, joggers, families, tourists all moving in this beautiful organised chaos.
We ended up walking the whole way up Bondi Road to Westfields, which is further than it looks on a map, let me tell you. Asha wanted to explore, and honestly, I wasn't going to say no. In my humble opinion, Bondi Road heading up the hill is far more interesting!
The real purpose of our trip though was to catch the Tigers play at Leichhardt Oval later that afternoon. They lost in the last minute by the way, which still stings a bit if I'm being honest. But Asha absolutely loved Bondi Beach. It's one of those memories we both cherish, father and daughter, soaking up a suburb that feels somehow larger than life.
All of which is a roundabout way of saying, we now deliver flowers to Bondi Beach, and there's something satisfying about that.
When you order flower delivery to Bondi Beach through Lily's Florist, your order goes to one of our partner florists in the Sydney area. These aren't warehouse flowers shipped overnight by Australia Post. These are real florists, with real shops, real staff, and real expertise in their craft. Your bouquet gets made fresh that day by hands that know what they're doing.

Our system routes orders based on the postcode and what's available in each partner florist's shop at that moment. If one florist is running low on red roses for the day, the order moves to the next closest partner who has stock. It's a system we've refined over 18 years now, starting from the days when we'd fax orders through to florists from our garage in Pottsville.
Order before 2PM on weekdays and same day delivery is available throughout Bondi Beach and surrounding suburbs.
Bondi attracts a certain kind of person. Creative types, professionals, young families, retirees who've lived there for decades. All of them have birthdays. All of them have anniversaries. And all of them deserve flowers showing up unexpectedly on a random Tuesday just because someone thought of them.
Birthday flowers delivered to a Bondi apartment can turn an ordinary morning into something memorable. Anniversary flowers arriving at someone's workplace near Campbell Parade can make a partner feel genuinely appreciated. There doesn't need to be a grand occasion. Sometimes the best reason to send flowers is no reason at all.
Here's the thing that feels a bit full circle for us. Before Lily's Florist existed, before the shop in Kingscliff, before the Yellow Pages calls and the baby bottle craze and everything that followed, Siobhan and I were living in Drummoyne. Working 9 to 5 jobs in events and marketing. Taking the same train, eating the same lunches, wondering if there was more to life than the Sydney grind.
In 2006 we escaped north for a seachange. Bought a florist we knew nothing about. Made every mistake you can imagine. And slowly, over 18 years, built something that now sends flowers right back to the city we once called home. Including suburbs like Bondi Beach.
We're Australian owned and operated. Genuinely. Not a multinational with an Australian flag on the website. Siobhan and I still run this business. We still make decisions at the dinner table, or on the drive to netball, or while our kids are doing homework. There's no boardroom, no marketing department, no team of solicitors.
Our partner florists across Australia, over 800 of them now, are the same. Mum and Dad businesses, family run, experts in their field. When you order through Lily's Florist starting from $54.95, you're supporting that network.
We've also got over 22,000 Feefo reviews and a Trusted Service Award to back up the claim that we actually know what we're doing. Flowers are subjective, three people can look at the same bouquet and see three different things, so putting ourselves out there with an independent review platform took some guts. But 18 years later, it's proven worth it.

Browse our collection, pick the occasion or pick no occasion at all, and we'll get fresh flowers delivered to Bondi Beach by one of our Sydney partner florists. Same day delivery available when you order before 2PM weekdays.
Or give us a call on 1300 360 469 if you'd prefer to chat through your options. Real people answer that phone, based in our Armidale call centre, not offshore.
