When Every Queensland Town Matters

Back in 2008, sitting in our Kingscliff shop with a crying baby in the back room, we got a call from someone wanting to send flowers to Bridges, Queensland, who was from our area. I remember looking at Andrew and mouthing "where?" while frantically googling it on our ancient computer. Bridges, population barely 100, northwest of Toowoomba. We had to say those awful words again: "sorry, we can't deliver there."

That phone call, and hundreds like it over the 3 years we had our flower shop, changed everything. See, when you run a tiny flower shop in a beach town, you quickly learn that love doesn't care about postcodes. Grandkids in Brisbane want to send birthday flowers to their nan in Bridges. City families need to send condolences to rural communities. These weren't just flower orders we were turning away, they were connections we couldn't make happen.

Building Our Rural Network

After we went fully online in 2009, Bridges and the Greater Sunshine Coast became part of our mission. Not because it would make us rich (spoiler: rural deliveries rarely do), but because those early "no's" still bothered us.
