The growth, new houses going up, the area changing season to season. Those drives to team meetings, you learn the route really well without ever intending to. Parent taxi driver perspective, you become an accidental expert on areas you never planned to know.

We're based in Kingscliff, Gold Coast is literally next door. When we bought Kingscliff Florist in 2007, Gold Coast expansion happened fast. Years later, Asha's Titans netball meant we were driving through regularly for a completely different reason. We'd been coordinating flower deliveries to Gaven for nearly a decade before experiencing it through sport. Both daughters played rep netball at different times, Asha with Titans, Ivy later with HDNA and hopefully the Titans too. Those netball drives taught us Gold Coast geography better than any business expansion planning ever did.

Still just Andrew and me running this seventeen years later, still making those netball runs, still coordinating deliveries to areas we know through windscreens and sport schedules.
