Same Day Delivery - Hunters Hill Wide
My name is Siobhan, and along with my partner Andrew, we own and run Lily's Florist. We're a Mum and Dad business based in Northern NSW, and we've been sending flowers across Australia since 2009. Hunters Hill holds a surprisingly personal place in our story, though Andrew would probably rather I didn't bring up the rugby.
Andrew grew up in Sydney, spent his childhood there before we both eventually escaped the rat race and headed north. One of his clearest memories of Hunters Hill involves a bus, a lot of nervous energy, and the certain knowledge that he was about to get thrashed on the rugby field at St Joseph's College. Joeys, as everyone called it, was one of those schools his team played about twice a year. They never won. Not once. He still winces when I bring it up.
"We'd rock up to Joeys with all this false confidence," he told me once, "and within about 15 minutes we'd be down by 30 points wondering why we bothered bringing mouthguards."
The leafy streets around Hunters Hill became familiar during those trips. The way the light filtered through the trees along the main roads. The old sandstone buildings. That particular Sydney feeling of wealth and established gardens that you just don't get in newer suburbs. Andrew's mum also worked in real estate for McGrath there for years before she moved up to Kingscliff in 2018. She'd talk about the heritage homes, the character, the buyers who loved that the suburb still felt like a village even though it was so close to the city.
All of this is to say, Hunters Hill feels personal to us, even though we're now 800 kilometres away running a flower delivery business from our home office.
We're not a florist ourselves anymore. We were once, way back in 2006 when we bought a little shop in Kingscliff NSW and had absolutely no idea what we were doing. That shop, and a Yellow Pages ad we didn't know existed, led to thousands of phone calls for flower deliveries to places all over Australia. Places we couldn't service. After months of saying "sorry, we can't help," we had a thought. What if we partnered with local florists in those areas and sent them the orders?

* The shop where it all began in 2006. That lime green paint was a choice, but it’s where we learned that real floristry is about the local connection.

That single idea became Lily's Florist. Today we work with over 800 partner florists across Australia, including skilled florists in and around Hunters Hill who actually make and deliver your flowers. They're real shops with real staff, not a warehouse operation boxing up flowers to send via Australia Post overnight. Your flowers are made fresh that day and hand delivered by someone local.

Here's how it works. When you order flowers to Hunters Hill, our system routes your order to one of our partner florists in the area. They're chosen based on their location, what stock they have that day, and their capacity. Your flowers are made fresh by a trained florist in a real shop, then delivered by a local courier who knows the streets.
We don't charge our partner florists membership fees, which is different to how most wire services operate. Instead, we ask them to add a few extra stems to cover our commission. That means better value flowers for you, and a fairer deal for the florists who make them.
Anna has been with us for over 15 years. She's a qualified florist who started working with us when we converted our garage in Pottsville into a makeshift call centre back in 2010. These days she's our bookkeeper, but she still knows more about flowers than Andrew and I ever will.
I asked her what she'd recommend for someone sending flowers to Hunters Hill.
"Hunters Hill is one of those suburbs with older, more established homes," Anna said. "Lots of period features, heritage gardens, that sort of thing. People there tend to appreciate classic, elegant arrangements rather than anything too wild or tropical. I'd lean towards soft pastels or clean whites."
She specifically mentioned three of our bestsellers:
Beautiful Pastels Bunch ($80.75) "This one works beautifully for Hunters Hill," Anna told me. "The soft pinks, creams and mauves suit those traditional interiors. It's gentle without being boring, and the colour palette complements most decor. Good for birthdays, thank yous, or just because."
Gorgeous White Arrangement ($90.85) "White flowers are always sophisticated," Anna said. "This arrangement photographs really well, which matters when you're sending flowers to someone who might pop them on their dining table and share a photo. The whites and greens give it a fresh, timeless look. Perfect for sympathy, congratulations, or if you just want to say something heartfelt without being too loud about it."
Blue Mist Arrangement ($85.95) "The blue tones in this one are unusual enough to stand out but still elegant," Anna explained. "It has depth. The blues and purples work well against those neutral, classic home interiors you find in Hunters Hill. Something a bit different without being garish."
In 2024 and again in 2025, we received a Feefo Trusted Service Award. Feefo is a review platform endorsed by Google, and the key difference is that only verified customers who've actually ordered can leave a review. We can't delete bad reviews, can't get our mates to write nice things, can't game the system. Since 2013, we've collected over 23,000 reviews.
Flowers are subjective. What one person sees as perfect, another might find underwhelming. Putting ourselves out there with a third party review system was a risk. But it's also made us better. We read every review, respond to complaints, and genuinely use the feedback to improve.

* We’re proud of our 4.3-star rating. It’s the honest truth from over 23,000 verified customers, earning us the Feefo Trusted Service Award two years running.
To qualify for the Trusted Service Award, a business needs at least 50 reviews in a 12 month period with an average of 4 stars or above. In our most recent qualifying period, we received over 3,000 reviews. That's more than 60 times the minimum required.
Unlike some of our competitors, we actually answer the phone. Our team is based in Armidale NSW, and everyone who picks up is Australian. You can call us Monday to Friday 7am to 6pm, and Saturdays 7am to 12pm. Phone number is 1300 360 469. You can also use live chat on our website or email us.
