Andrew grew up in Strathfield and Summer Hill, closer to the city centre, but his school friend group is spread all over Sydney. Anna has a particular appreciation for natives. "Woody-stemmed natives like banksias and proteas have non-porous wood," she explains. "That makes water uptake tricky compared to soft-stemmed flowers like roses. The fix is to gently crush the base of the stem with your secateurs. Sounds rough, but it increases the surface area so the flower can actually drink. They'll last a fortnight if you treat them right."

Same day delivery if you order before 2pm weekdays or 10am Saturdays. We don't deliver Sundays because flower markets are closed Saturday afternoon, and any florist delivering Sunday is using Friday stock that's already lost about 30% of its vase life.
