Same Day Flowers Delivery - Australia Wide!
Same-day flower delivery to Mount Sheridan: order before 2pm on a weekday and your flowers are delivered today, or pick any later date at checkout. Birthday and new baby flowers go straight to the house, and for a funeral at Forest View Cemetery or the Cairns Crematorium chapel on Foster Road, add the funeral director's name in the notes. Our reviews sit on Feefo, where we can't edit or delete them. Pick a Birthday Package Special or a White Funeral Wreath below and pay securely online, or call us and one of our friendly, Australian-based team will choose it with you.
Bunch, arrangement or wreath? Match it to where it's going.
If someone's home to take it, a hand-tied bunch is the one to send. It goes straight into a vase, and in warm air, fresh water every couple of days is what keeps it going. If they're out all day, send an arrangement instead. It's built into soaked floral foam, so it's drinking from the minute it lands, with no vase or scissors needed.
For a burial, the graveside wants a wreath, because the foam ring keeps every stem watered out on open lawn. A chapel-only service suits a sheath, a hand-tied spray bound about a third of the way up, which the family can untie at home and put in a vase. I learnt that in a North Carolina August, watching a sheath go limp on the grass before the service ended.
For a birthday or a new baby, sending to Mount Sheridan nearly always means a house: at the 2021 census, 98.7 per cent of people here lived in a separate house. So birthday flowers usually land with a knock at the front door, and the questions are who's home and what to write in the notes.
Two jobs, a school run, and the birthday is today, with nobody home until five. Put a mobile in the notes. In our experience the florist rings it before leaving anything on a step in the sun. For Mum, our birthday flowers for mum include arrangements that sit in their own water until she gets in.
If it's a bunch, whoever gets home first should fill the vase from the tap at room temperature. The cold jug from the fridge is slower, because warm water climbs a cut stem faster. Recut the ends at about forty-five degrees and get them into the water at once.
A new baby, and you can't get there yet. Stays after a birth are often short, so unless you know they're still on the ward at Cairns Hospital, send to the house a day or two after they're home. Pick from our new baby flowers and set that date at checkout.
Nothing heavily scented, nothing that needs a vase, nothing to look after. The Blush Pinks Arrangement With Chocolates sits in wet foam, and its lilies are Asiatics, with next to no scent. A top-up from a glass every few days keeps it going, and the chocolates are for whoever is awake at three.
A funeral notice with Foster Road on it. Forest View Cemetery is at 65 to 77 and the Cairns Crematorium is next door at 79 to 85, so write which one, the service time and the funeral director in the notes, then choose from our funeral flowers. In our experience the director has them placed before the family arrives. After the service, sympathy flowers for the home go to the family instead, and "So sorry. Thinking of you all." is enough on the card.
I learnt the director part in February 2008 at the Tweed Valley Lawn Cemetery on Eviron Road, near our Kingscliff shop. I parked at the wrong end and carried a white wreath the length of the lawn in thirty-odd degrees. The director had been standing at the gate the whole time.
Anna's call: whites, creams and soft greens suit almost any service. For an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander family, ask them first, because customs differ, and where flowers are welcome, natives fit beautifully.
Plenty of orders have no heading: a thank-you to the neighbour who fed the dog, a hello to a sister in Forest Gardens, a rough week of hospital shifts. Our mixed flowers cover most of them.
The Rose, Gerbera & Lilies Bunch. The lilies open a bud at a time, so there is something new in the vase later in the week. Pinch the anthers off each one as it opens, before a school shirt brushes past. If any lands on fabric, lift it with sticky tape. Dry pollen bonds to cloth, and a wipe only smears it.

Later than that, pick your day at checkout.
A mobile for a house. For Foster Road, which venue, the service time and the funeral director. For Bupa Mount Sheridan, the resident's name and room: it's actually on Progress Road in White Rock.
At a house, whoever answers. In aged care, reception, in our experience. On Foster Road, the funeral director. Before 2pm on a weekday, it's still today.
You get a confirmation email, and one of our partner florists in Cairns builds it on the day. If something's wrong, email a photo the same day to [email protected] or call 1300 360 469, 7am to 6pm weekdays and from 10am Saturday. One of our team takes it from there.
With a birthday you'll often hear back before dinner, a photo or a text. After a funeral it's different (the service is full of flowers and people, and then everyone goes home), and the week after is when a bunch on the kitchen bench gets noticed, so don't worry if nobody rings to say thanks. Flowers are a small thing next to what's happened, and they're still what people remember. The reviews that sting are nearly always about a swap, a white rose where the photo had a lily, because the market didn't have lilies that morning (it happens, and I still hate it). The florist keeps to the colour and the value, and it's written on the order.
We've run it this way since 2009, though we stopped faxing orders to florists a long time ago.
