My name is Siobhan, I own Lily's Florist with my partner Andrew, and we've spent the past six years driving up and down the M1 to the Gold Coast for netball, basketball, school pickups, and apparently now graduation celebrations at theme parks. How We Started

The previous owner had just taken out a Yellow Pages ad, and suddenly we were drowning in calls for flower deliveries to places we couldn't reach. Murwillumbah. Coolangatta. Random towns across Australia.

After months of saying sorry, we had an idea. What if we found florists in those areas and asked them to make the flowers for us? No fees, just a simple arrangement where they added extra stems to cover our commission. The first florist said yes. Then the next. By 2009 we'd built a network, created Lily's Florist as a brand, and eventually grew to over 800 partner florists across Australia.

We're still the same Mum and Dad running things. No boardroom, no marketing team, no offshore call centre. Business decisions get made at the dinner table or in the car on the way to netball.
